I remember them and their story and was so crushed when their story was put on hold. I would pray for her and Molly bc my daughter was born around that time. I totally bawled my eyes out knowing that they were finally united. Omg I don’t know her personally but I always thought about her and Molly. Thank you for sharing.

❤Congratulations to Kathy and her wonderful family. I am excited for your new daughter. She has found a wonderful forever family. My Mom did the silhouettes of us 5 kids when we were young. Lol we did not have the technology back then so Mom took a light against the refrigerator so it cast a shadow on it. She taped up butcher paper and traced out our silhouettes. She then cut out the butcher paper and applied that to black card stock, traced and cut out. She then framed them with the mat surround. They turned out so beautiful. She still has them hanging in her family room. Lmao I would say they are vintage now, as the youngest is in his late 60s. Haha. Not getting older, just more experienced. Haha

Beautiful. Everything. Love the new way of doing silhouettes. I used to have the children sit in profile and cast their shadow on white paper. Before that, my late sister would use a razor blade and black paper to create cameos and more, mounted on white tissue paper and framed under glass. Also the gel stain is great on the furniture. So relieved you didn’t paint black.

My husband is the guy that will say I don’t want holes in the wall. You must feel blessed to have a best friend that you can connect with. Last summer I hosted a kindergarten baby party at my trailer had friends we all started kindergarten together and we followed each other’s life through the years. We all had a bestie but we all stayed close. I’m 61 years old and feel so blessed to say those kindergarten babies are my friends.

You got me with this one! What a beautiful story, and a perfect way to celebrate them. I have an older chest like this one (not as valuable) in my garage with everything organized in it. I throw a rug down and put a table up when my grandchildren visit, so they have plenty of room to create art!! (We also have installed an air conditioner and heater, plus a way to insulate around the garage door. We also deep clean the garage before they come. We need a garage most of the year, but it becomes a play room for three weeks during visits!)

Congratulations on her adoption! we adopted two little girls. I wanted to share a little piece of advice. We found a adoption support group with our church and it has been absolutely amazing. They have lots of Adoption Group‘s different places. I think it doesn’t have to be with a church, but it has been so nice to have people who understand, what you have been through and what you could possibly go through in the future. It’s nice to see other families that have adopted as well. I hope you have a wonderful holiday.
