I can totally resonate with this talk video. You being sick and not able to do much (if anything) for several days in a row. You then move because you’re lying / sleeping in “filth” for a short while. I am a disabled veteran who suffers from several chronic issues. When it’s really cold, or I have a flare-up….I am down for the count. IE, nothing is getting done, and I’m a couch potato. As we live in SC, the frigid weather, then snow; that knocked me down for a few days. As I am watching this video (22 Jan), I’m finally up and moving around and cleaning. My body locked up on me. I had insomnia Sunday night / early Monday morning. I still work part time (weekends only), but every so often, I’ll work 3 days a week. Monday it was crazy cold and my whole body locked up with arthritis pain joining the party. I do NOT hardly do anything when I’m in extreme pain, and I feel horrible when I let the house get a little dirty and laundry / dishes pile up. My husband works full time and has a really good job. But, when I feel I should be doing something, he knows I suffer some days and am great other days. He does not bark if the house looks like a tornado. He knows that I already feel bad for hurting and having a flare up. Literally speaking nasty to someone who’s having a bad day further adds to their mental health. So, he’s understanding and knows when I feel better, I’ll clean the house. Felt great getting all the laundry caught up, getting the beds made, dishes caught up AND folding the cleaned sheets. I get a back injection tomorrow, so I’ll be down again. But, I do talk to my husband, mom and therapy all the time so I don’t get negatively consumed in my thoughts. So….all this to say….momma, you’re allowed to breathe and be human. Much love to you and so happy you’re feeling great!! ❤❤❤❤

My late sister was wicked smart in school, and my entire life all I ever heard from teachers that had my sister in their class before me was "oh, you're not smart like your sister." Talk about demoralizing to the point I just didn't try anymore. So, hearing you say you don't compare siblings made me smile really BIG. When I started working, I excelled at any job I had perhaps because I wasn't being compared anymore, grades in school are important but it takes so much more to be successful in the workplace. I live in Arizona, and I too have an electric fireplace, it's all about ambiance and what makes you happy. Great video, I enjoyed it immensely. 🥰

I love that your son enjoys cooking and you spend time in the kitchen helping him. I have special memories of my mom doing that with me. Pampered Chef has a can opener that when you take the lid off the can the lid and the can is not sharp. You could actually run your finger around it and not get cut. That would be a cute gift for him. And I love how Freya was helping clean up her toys off the coffee table and trying to get it all at one time, that was so cute. Love your ideas about the difference between dirty and messy, filthy, etc. I don't understand why so many KZbinrs say they are decluttering, when they are just cleaning. Decluttering means you are cleaning out and getting rid of stuff. That may sound silly, but it drives me crazy😂.

He went to bed one night with a young boy's voice, and woke up the next morning with a much deeper voice! He said Good morning and I asked him if he was getting sick!? Maybe a sore throat!? 😂 He said no, I'm fine, Mom! ❤😂 He was, we were so surprised.
