Shanghai is like the future. I live in the UK and we will never have a competent leader to take us there.

Me too! I remember the deserted streets in NYC and London and in US, >milions of people died due to US govt misinformation and tyrannical ruling but guess the tyrant is back in charge of USA. LMAO! We must all defend US rights to full "freedom and democracy" hope they never change so we can all watch US replace their Blue psychos with Red psychos, it is quite fun to watch them think "maybe this time, just may be, things might change for the better", and it never does.

In general things only change for the worse here in the UK...I am in my 70's and the future had seemed quite exciting and bright for a while in the 60's but it all seemed to go in the opposite direction about the time of Margaret Thatcher...and there is no sign of it ever returning to a future that looks good and constantly improving.
@tigading2177Ай бұрын
Thatcher - Reagan era was when the corporate money power completely bought off the govts and has been the case ever since, thus every policies since is about privatization, greed, corruptions at every level with all pseudo govt agencies funded by corporations gradually took over all state institutions. These pseudo agencies are much like western NGOs and "think tanks" influencing everything and spreading propaganda all over the world.

@@Hoo88846 I assume you're talking about the Fukushima nuclear disaster wastewater plans, which was covered extensively in Western media at the time. I googled it to check and the first two results are multi-page BBC articles with full analyses and interviews with local fishermen complaining about it, as well as an entire section on China and South Korea's objections. Why would Western media cover murder rates in Asian countries? Does your media update you when someone gets stabbed in Paris? If a tourist dies then their country will probably report on it, but other than that unless it's mass-murders or terror incidents why would they bother?

@@Hoo88846 Good point. I always find it odd about western punters keep repeating western talking points, as though they care, whilst on the other hand their govts keep pumping billions into propaganda and instigating coups, wars, ge no sides, plus their own population is declining too, with unemployment, sky rocketing inflation, child poverty, people sleeping rough on the streets, instead of worrying about their own country, they seemed more worried about China, whom we all know western ruling elites love to hate and they are not even hiding it!
