This video was actually quite insightful. I think a lot of people quit being a nomad because they feel homesick or lonely from it, but it's quite possible to build strong relationships into a nomad/expat life, as you have.

100%! i know so many nomads who have made the BEST FRIENDSHIPS EVER during nomad life. MUCH better friends than they had back in job life..

The solution to loneliness is identity. Having confidence in your identity and portraying that identity creates the ability to attract others around you. Totally agree being alone is not the same as being lonely.

I feel like being a digital nomad has a better community because you are out about with others. Not just shoved into a building all day at an egregious office lol. Yes 5:26 exactly

When your working at a Starbucks do you break down your computer rig and take it with you if you have to use the bathroom? I see people leave their laptops for a few min here in LA and I think that’s insane. I can’t imagine doing it in a foreign country.

I always pack mine into my backpack, go to the bathroom, and then come back haha. Kind of looks weird but oh well

ive never hid my laptop while going to the bathroom atStarbucks lol... did you hear a story of someone getting their laptop JACKED in a Starbucks/? if so do link to the article lol

@@livinthatlife I’m from in LA. People get things stolen all the time from everywhere. I had my laptop stolen out of my backpack that I tucked away out of sight under the table inside a DTLA cafe.

Do you think your "Crew" can be mostly over video calls and texting, and just meet a couple times a year? Or does it really need to be in-person to alleviate loneliness to the same degree? I don't see myself traveling with a crew anytime soon, as I'm quite individual and have a lot of less-common places I want to travel.

i see CREW as people you hang our with physically a lot... or if remotely, talk to like at least once a week... e.g. those guys you are super close with

What question do you want answered in another video?

Might be interesting to see your take on the question "What is the best online business model?" and then breaking down the pros and cons, and what kind of person each one is best for.

Doesn’t have to be a video but I wonder about older nomads (+40). Most videos out there are about the young crowd. So my question would be; where in asia do you see the most seasoned nomads, where do they hang out, bars? Coworking spaces? Do you mingle with them and so on… thanks man.

@@nicolas4771 There are a ton of older retiree expats in Thailand. I saw the highest concentration in Pattaya, around the bar areas haha

@@Paul-yk7ds I meant 40-50 yo people, entrepreneurs and expats. Not interested in the retirees….
