From Nairobi to Marsabit, you pass through Kiambu, Murang'a, Machakos, Embu, Kirinyaga, Nyeri, Laikipia, Meru, Isiolo, Samburu, Marsabit. Note that the bridge at the Tana River is the meeting point of Murang'a,Embu, Machakos and Kirinyaga. The river also changes name from Sagana (Thagana) to Taana (Kamba/Mbeere pronunciation of Thagana)
