yeah another tip is that moving while jaunting heals you faster than simply being in the dark/jaunt, ive healed from near crit to full in like 10 seconds just from speeding back and forth in the maint darkness

Probably having a lot of hours on the game and reading up on combat options and how it works, is probably what helps the most and I guess if you can find someone to spar with would be nice. Get experience with TGMC or play on a private round and get used to the mechanics

I used to be similar and I lost as a Hulk against a chef who was throwing chairs at my head in a brawl when I started out. Combat in SS13 is almost entirely reliant on Stamina damage rather than direct damage. If you can get the right combos to knock people down or use stun options properly you can start winning fights. Mind you, I still suck so take my advice with a bit of salt.

Fire and burn damage in general absolutely melts through nightmares. The fire damaged them so much they couldnt get up at all anymore. Nightmare is supposed to be a glass canon, high mobility high damage but brittle as glass

To slit throat you need to aggro grab someone (grab twise), sharp object in hand, aim to the head and combat intent. It causes last tier bleeding, death in 2-3 minutes if no epi-pen. And I was cutting off fingertips of gloves on the floor. TG is far from lifeweb level of violence.
