Maybe if the media commented on how amazing Amy was here or on any of her Brazil tour instead of focusing on her personal life and still making rumours of drug use, she may have felt like she was bettering herself. We all know she was her worst critic and always felt like she didn't perform too well but why does she never, in the media, get support like artists like Adele? This was incredible and barely anyone knows about it yet EVERYONE knows about Belgrade. The media needs to sort itself out.

Concordo.... 😔

It requires an appreciable amount of courage to take on a classic like this one because it makes Amy vulnerable to comparisons with great singers of the 1930s. So did she record a studio performance of it? I'd rather hear it that way than in the hollow-sounding acoustics of an auditorium.

You can see how disappointed she was with her voice, especially when she sang the high note. She even rolled her eyes at herself. She was extremely critical of herself and being sober made her aware of how much of a mess she was and the damage its done.

Agreed. I truly love Amy, but the drugs really did destroy her voice. I still shake my head to see her transformation from jazzy powerhouse to this. Thanks, Blake.
@jules81594 жыл бұрын
@@mifnp8887 She did this to herself. She chose. Blake lost someone, I’m not saying he like helped, but she had problems before, and after. Blame the drugs, her father, her mom, and the fame, but at this point I’m tired of everyone saying BLAKE.

I’m sorry but you think this voice is destroyed? Yeah it’s not everything Amy could have done but even at her worst she sounded better than literally any other singer at the time.
@amywinehoe3 жыл бұрын
@@JazzFlop212 She did she has such an Iconic voice, but even compared to hey stay at St. Lucia 2009 her voice was still somewhat Intact and she could still hit higher notes like for example the Puppy Love cover she did, she sounded pretty damn good and her voice was recovering, but fast-foward to 2011 her voice was really deep and she couldn't do the same vocal runs she could've done In the Back To Black era because to be honest her voice prime was before BTB In the years following Frank her voice degraded after the drugs, even though she still sounded fucking amazing during BTB and she still had such an amazing vocal talent but In her Frank era her vocals were way more softer, but the BTB era was more rhaspy vocals I guess, but considering In 2009 In St. Lucia she still sounded amazingly good, I don't think It was the drugs or alcohol that damaged her voice, It definitely was some kind of condition she had, because I heard something that she had some kind of condition that overtime degraded her vocals and she couldn't do anything about It. That being said her voice In Body & Soul, Between The Cheats and It's My Party sounded pretty fucking amazing and she could still do pretty good vocal runs, but I don't think her voice had that ability she once had to do her famous live vocal runs, like for example In the Mtv Movie Awards BTB performance she had such an amazing vocal run at the end that just gives me chills everytime I hear It, and I don't think she had the ability to do that vocal run by the time 2011 came around, I still know In my heart that her voice could've recovered a bit more and she could've finally finished the masterpiece that was going to be her 3rd album, but her voice was never going to be the same. She should've never done that comeback tour, she should've focused on herself and on new material singing those BTB songs killed her, THAT tour was her demise and she was forced to do It, she didn't need that and she ESPECIALLY didn't need to be touring In these foreign countries I think she was happy to be performing again at first but at the end especially at her Dubai concert when she got booed off stage by that disgusting croud that probably completely broke her, and she didn't want to do It anymore but they forced her to do the infamous Belgrade concert, like who In their right mind would ever let her go out like that?? Like her makeup wasn't done which was obvious because Amy did her own makeup so that was a sign she didn't want to do that concert, and she cried through the whole set like what the fuck?? I will never understand her management team, like honestly fuck them. (sorry for this rant lmao I just get really carried but I hope you understand my point)

@mightymissk Yes she was in physical pain thru all concerts in 2011, including the duet with Tony Bennett on March 23rd. Isn't this very funny and strange, that neither her father nor her doctor has given an explanation for it? What was the use of the daily doctor's control she was having then? All this reveals to what degree she was shown a concern by the people around. The reason of that unexplained pain was probably the cause of her decease. I strongly believe it to be a heart deficiency.
@TanzerBasar13 жыл бұрын
I'm waiting for an explanation from her dıoctor and father, why she was holding and squeezing her left arm with pain (0:20-0:40) We had similar scenes thru all her concerts in 2011, incl Tony Bennett studio recording of March 23rd.

I was there and that was my favourite song from the whole night. She sang it so beautifully, it was delightful! But, generally, during the concert I felt totally uncomfortable witnessing a fragile woman that clearly needed a break from stage to solve her issues. It was quite obvious that she was sad and tired of singing the old songs, that she didn't wanted to be there. It's a huge pitty they still made her perform at this time, which automatically led to her drinking again. If she had more support and a proper break she could have overcome it, she was on her way to getting better.

@Alexdurrant7 I t does not exist there only..but throughout all her live performances in 2011. Same arm, same up and down movements, same elbow joint pain and same massage on left arm from wrist to shoulder. And also mouth dryness..All those combine in one health problem only, lack of blood circulation caused by heart deficiency. And it is always the heart which says the last word.

@vaccavo I have seen all..that was why I had referred to that. By just looking only one of them, some would say it could be a joint inflammation or due to rheumatism, but was throughout all concerts in 2011. Also, I know she had 2 in-house minders in hotel room, when she stayed in Istanbul for the cancelled concert. Such a precaution during concerts as well as at home and additional daily doctor's control, can not be explained by other concerns. It was probably known but not disclosed.

@Marcus1050 She did not have high ambitions. Her father said, her ambition was to become a rollerskating waitress. When she got 5 Grammys I guess all was achieved at age 24. Then she wanted to become mother, but that also didn't materialize and she was depressed..she got friends with drugs and alcohol. But she did not die of drug. The reason could be blood poisoning of a depression pill reaction with alcohol or heart failure. She was constantly holding and squeezing her left arm.
