A friend of mine is a care worker, and was with a service user on a cruise, and Liz Dawn was onboard. She made a point of saying hello to both my fiend and the service user every night. She didn't have to, but did. I thought that a lovely thing to do.

The look she gave her husband at 7:45 … classic! ~ Very cold reception. She was more excited to see her on screen son Terry, than she was her real life husband. The first daughter that was introduced and came out was very pretty. 1989 … seems so long ago. So many cast members are sadly gone now. 😔

She looked as if she hardly saw her sister and brother too. She was obviously embarrassed when her children, and childhood friends, showed up and started talking. I liked 'This is Your Life' as a child. It makes me cringe, watching it, nowadays

True story - I was at the Granada Studios tour this day as a young lad with my mate and his parents. We were stood on the bridge looking down Coronation Street as the opening was set up - I remember us being told if we waited we could see the next bit being filmed.

@millybops1134 жыл бұрын
David Jeffreys Very true indeed! I watch classic Corra every weekday morning before starting my day & it’s 100 times better than the present day Corra, I find the present day one very boring, heartless & most of the people in it really aren’t very good actors! I have my favourites who make me laugh & cry, like David Platt! Others like Audrey Roberts & the goth girl make me want to scream😫😫😫
@davidjeffreys90634 жыл бұрын
Millybops. It's the same with Emmerdale. I used to enjoy watching Emmerdale Farm in the old days, good characters, good story lines, back in the 1980's when i was a young lad. You look at any soap nowadays and all it has in it is youngsters with strange hairdoos
@millybops1134 жыл бұрын

Totally, totally agree. Haven't watched Corrie in about 10 years - it has gone just to pot. The early 90s were pure class and great characters.

Look, I don't want to defile anybody's memories, but the Rovers Return exterior and interior were completely seperate ! The exterior on the studio lot was just a hollow shell, the actual "interior" was a mock up in the adjacent studio 1 set. What you are actually seeing is Michael Aspel entering an empty building. Then it's cut to Michael on the interior studio set (which had fake doors) and edited together to make it look continous.
@karlthomas33743 жыл бұрын
Wow, I am surprised MI5 or the CIA haven't snapped you up with those amazing detective skills! Do you have a degree in Stating the Obvious? It is called 'continuity'. Shows have been using it for years (even Fawlty Towers). Just enjoy the show for what it was, a tribute to a very sweet and talented lady.
