Sometimes you forget that greatness exists in the world. And then you remeber Liz exists, and rethink. Thanks, Liz, love you always!

My late sister played pool with you before a show at First Avenue in Minneapolis in the mid-nineties. It was one of the highlights of a tragic life that ended way too soon. Thank you.

As a dude who was a college radio DJ back in the very early 90s, after having the luxury of the nascent “alternative/college” rock scene, there were women who were both rocking and, in spite of themselves, astonishingly sexy: Liz Phair, Polly Jean, even Juliana Hatfield. They were comfortable with who they were and unafraid to rock. I miss that. At least we have Wet Leg and Amyl and the Sniffers.

As a gay man, I really related to this song when I heard it. It was good to know I wasn't alone in those feelings and experiences.

Though it was long after 12 or 17 before I could feel this, I can also relate to it as a queer man. :)

Así es la jodida realidad. A veces está la felicidad detrás de esa persona, y también no está. Hacer es amor es a veces solo co*er y también es trascender. Así es esto de vivir y soñar: estar y correr luego.

Dude rushed the stage during a verse with a tambourine, sung some backup vocals and got a peck on the cheek after! Going to have to try that with my tambourine at one of her upcoming Guyville Anniversary shows. 😎

i dont know what to say but ... the tambourine .. no... please. the vulnerability of the guitar and voice is amazing. i appreciate all musicians but please.. no tamborine... its just noise in a really powerful feminine truth. no. seriously liz phair. you need to let your grey area be. the tamborine? nuh. please.
