I remember my Mom and I were sick at the same time, so we kicked dad on the sofa and camped out in their room. We found this show and watched, totally dumbfounded. It was like three hours of JUST THIS. We were morbidly entertained, especially with each other’s comments. Weirdly, it’s a really fond memory now. My Mom passed two years ago. It’s not common for me to have a memory dredged up like this, I can mentally thank her for being an awesome Mom, and realize it wasn’t just a fever dream after all!

fun fact! lizard lick towing takes place in my state and is only around 38 minutes from where I live. if you go to Lizard Lick (the town) and surrounding towns, you'll see a bunch of signs saying how towing is enforced by them. i remember seeing it when the show was in the middle of it's run, while it was still big. it was honestly kind of cool to see that they actually did stuff. ronnie's son was sadly murdered in 2022, and I remember seeing it in the local (or semi-local) papers. it was kind of a big deal around here.

I loved Lizard Lick and Operation Repo growing up, it was comedy gold through the lenses of a kid in that era. I was pretty certain most of it was fake and scripted, but through that magical power of a child’s mind, you could be aware of that fact, but still get lost in the ‘reality’ of it. In the same way professional wrestling was such a draw for young kids.

First being, are we gonna go over this? Secondly, do we need to practice this to get an idea of how it's gonna go? Cause according to my nephew quote, "This ain't no wwf here bro, the only fighting I've ever done is real life!" He said that Ronnie then said, "Perfect!" And proceeded to talk to someone with the TRU crew. So it's the big day, time for the fight. My nephew says him and his buddy jumped on Ronnie, and they both started wailing on him. Now keep in mind, my nephew has no idea how hard he should be hitting him, or how (jabs, hooks uppercuts, wild haymakers) , and/or how long. So he tells me he and his buddy both are hitting him pretty hard, hard enough to Charlie horse him. At the very least, leave a bruise. After a good 10-15 seconds he says ol boy hollers out, "CUT, cut...cut...cut...cut...cut got damnit!" My nephew, $#!÷ting bricks says, "I'm sorry man, I didn't mean to hurt ya bro. You never told us how hard to hit ya!" Ronnie replies, "Well alot gotdamned harder than that! You boys are hitting like a bunch of P#$$ies! Hit me mothaf#@%ers!" My nephew said they put there all into it. After wailing for a good minute he heard Ronnie say under his breath, my turn! He said Ronnie smacked him one time and he instantly seen stars! My nephew was a wild one back in his youth. Gotten into a many a scrapes. He told me that smack, was the hardest he had ever been hit in his whole life!!!
