Have to believe Angelina spoke Japanese with her maternal grandfather who was from Japan. He is the one who Angelina wrote "Million Miles" after he passed. Liz, make it a great 2023 and thanks, as always, for encouraging viewers to support Angelina.

Some Japanese even praise her not only because she sang the song magnificently but also her impeccably good enunciation of the Japanese lyrics.. Her grandma, mother and her uncle speak Japanese fluently because they lived in Japan for a very long time before moving to Norway where Angelina was born. Bout her first album under Republic Records, yes it was due to be released this year. This year is going to be huge for all the angels and for Angelina herself.

Liz, thanks for choosing this very sweet song for your beautiful reaction. This is a very lovely interpretation of Angelina and obviously the Japanese does not create problems for her, she is really incredible, with a whispered interpretation, beautiful and soft like the sound of the surf of the sea on a beach at night in the moonlight, it's truly a memorable sight, which Japanese viewers have much enjoyed. Angelina's version is softer and sweet than that of the Misora Hibari that she was one of the great Japanese singers. The Japan language in reality it's an added value of her family. 💛🧡❤

Happy New Year Liz and may it be a prosperous one for you. Thank you for your reaction and comments on this unusual video of Angelina. We know she has a handle on four languages and I have to assume that Japanese maybe one of them. She has Japanese in her blood so I would not be surprised. I agree that conveying emotion in a language that is foreign to you in some ways, is a very difficult thing to achieve, especially for a youngster. The time and time again she has shown she is not your average young person. Thank you again for your continuous support of this young angel and hope you will come back for more soon. Peace and love.

Her grandfather is Japanese and her grandmother is from Iran. Will we hear Angelina sing in Iranian in the future ? Days will tell... 🦶🦶👑🗣🎙🎷
@ulyseslabajo Жыл бұрын
Actually Angelina speaks Farsi...if everything serves right. The shoeless girl whom she gave her shoes and vow not to sing with shoes on again until all the kids in the world have shoes is an Iranian girl. And there's no way she can talk to that girl if she doesn't speak their language.😉
@SuperLiorr Жыл бұрын
I didn't know that the girl she met was from Iran because they always say from the Middle East. I wonder how this girl is doing today, maybe you or someone knows ? Does Angelina know ? 🤔mmm...

She finishes school in the spring and it is expected she will release that album sometime after. Angelina has a significant fan base in Japan, and so I'd say she has won them over. Has helped with fundraising in a different concert there, I believe. Grandma Ellen, glad to see you thriving. And you taught me a new word: Bollix.

Her mother and uncle were raised in Japan and speak fluently. Japanese is spoken at home. Angelina speaks Japanese.
@ulyseslabajo Жыл бұрын
I don't think Angelina can speak Japanese or understand it in speaking terms. They used an interpreter in all of her interviews there. But perhaps maybe because of 3 family members being fluent in nihongo she might have heard many times and familiar on how Japanese words are being spoken.
@kerrythomas6220 Жыл бұрын
@@ulyseslabajo well, she is reading the lyrics off the music stand because she clearly doesn’t know the words to the song.

I dont think Japanese is spoken at her home. She speaks norwegian with family I think, and then english with others while she is in USA.
@kerrythomas6220 Жыл бұрын
@@artfartzy She was extremely close with her Japanese grandfather, who must have taught her some of his native language over the years, to say nothing of her own mother and uncle who were raised in Japan.

Liz, she kept looking at her notes while she was singing. I wonder, can she read Japanese or did she, somehow, translate the lyrics into some sort of (???), I don't know what. Apparently this particular song is a Japanese classic and is loved by all. The audience in attendance, I believe, was in shock when they heard how beautifully she sang "their" song. No lie when I say I could listen to this for an hour. The melody is soothing and Angelina's voice, well, astonishing beautiful and she added a Japanese "tone" to top everything off.

Let's be frank. Angelina only knows Norwegian well enough for everyday conversation. Even her English is pretty poor, literally, vocally, and vocabulary. Even though her Norwegian is of native quality her vocabulary is inferior to most Norwegians. This is the case for all kids grown up in a multi-lingual home - and especially when the kid isn't the least interested in language but sees it as just a necessary but not welcome tool. Let's not picture Angelina as something that resembles a super-intelligent individual or even an alien. When it comes to language Angelina is below mediocre. Even when singing English songs she needs to remind herself how vowels are pronounced differently than in Norwegian. Norwegian is true to the original Latin pronunciation while English is not. These reminders she puts into the lyrics by writing the critical words with Norwegian spelling. Ex. For the word "love" she would write: "låv" as this would be the Norwegian spelling to arrive at the right pronunciation in English. This is of course only done for critical words she might forget. When she sings in Japanese she will follow the very same system. Write every Japanese word how it would be spelled in Norwegian to get the right sound. This is how every singer would do it and is the most natural way of solving this problem. For those who absolutely must elevate Angelina into the sky, do it by focusing on her singing voice, and how she communicates with immersion into the lyrics, melody, and spirit of the song. These are the properties where Angelina excels into a superstar. At everything else, she's mediocre at best.
@RobertDeMartin Жыл бұрын
@@KZbin_Stole_My_Handle_Too Gee, "going home", I thought she was perfect. Thank you for your in depth analysis. Your last paragraph was an attempt to recognize her talent but you left out the most important detail. After describing her immersions as 'properties' you failed to recognize, publicly, the affect her voice and who she is has on you. Btw, words or passages being spelled phonetically to aid someone in speaking has been around a long, long time and I bet you have done it on many occasions, particularly when you were a young person. It's a very useful tool. Lastly, if you can't see the genius in what she does musically, sobeit.
