I have heard Angelina singing in norwegian, in english, in spanish and now in japanese and is always the same: Beautiful. Something else, I understand that one of her grandfathers is japanese: Her art goes beyond any language barrier: She is my favorite singer ever, and I am 68 years old and a music lover, meaning that I have heard thosusands of singer, many of them super stars, but Angelina has the "it" factor. She is unique, God bless her.

There must be a better video of this song because I’ve watched it before, and the quality was much better. Japanese is one of the five languages she speaks. Her grandfather was Japanese, and her mother lived there for some time. Regardless, the last time I listened to this I started crying because it was such a beautiful song, and Angelina was able to convey the emotions in it even though I didn’t understand one word of what she was singing! Who else can do that?

Angelina is part Norwegian, Swedish, Iranian and Japanese. God worked overtime to create our beautiful and loving child so she could spread the love in her heart to all the people of the world. The song she sang is a beloved song adored by the Japanese people. I'm sure they were as shocked as you when they listened to her. This location she was singing at was in Japan.

Her grandfather was Japanese, I take it as almost certain that she was singing this song with him, and I would not be surprised if he was in the audience. Also supposedly her mother and uncle have grown up in Japan and speak Japanese. Some comments mentioned that she speaks little Japanese. I am sure you will enjoy this video kzbin.info/www/bejne/hJ7Un5ykhpeaqrM. It is a reaction to a video where some famous Japanese actor who is Angelina Jordan fan is surprised on live TV with a video message from Angelina. @peterhormell15112 жыл бұрын
David, I am not certain, but I believe Wikipedia is correct. Sarah’s mother Mery Zamani IS “Persian” (Iranian). And yes, Sara’s father IS Japanese. But I’m pretty sure that Mery and her husband were living IN Norway when Sarah and Michael were born. That would make Sarah and Michael both Norwegians whose parents were foreign nationals living in Norway when they were born. I hope this makes sense, and I hope a Norwegian “Angel” can confirm this. 😬😉 Greetings from Vermont, USA.
@davidcrandall36432 жыл бұрын
@@peterhormell1511 It would interesting to know if Angelina really is a quarter Japanese genetically, since I read an article a few years ago which claimed that the typical Japanese brain is better able to process the sounds of emotion than the average non-Japanese brain. I don't know whether this is true, but if it is, it may explain why Angelina has been able to put complex emotions into her singing even at a very young age.

Gabi, first you have to know: when the first video of Angelina in NDT 2014 went viral, it was in Asia, especialy in Japan. If you look again at "Gloomy Sunday", look at her "fans". Those are her relatives from Japan cheering her on. Not only did she learn the language from grandfather, but mom and uncle were teaching Japanese for many years. I bet, some of the conversations at her grandparents home were held in Japanese and Farsi/Persian. When older, her classmates told on TV, that she is very good at English. @@kerrythomas6220 At the Oslo music academy a teacher told in an interview: " the first thing we teach, is to deconstruct a song, analize it, and put it back together." AJ can do this with lightning speed. She does this while looking at the screen of her iMac. But to be fair, as Ivan Mendez told, they find a song they like, Ivan gets about 20 minutes for practicing and AJ deconstructs, etc., than they do it together in 1 take, Ivan laughed and said, in one case they had to do it 5 times, because he was so distracted by her singing, he lost track. Kerry, have you read her book? one her onlinshop you can download it in English. You will understand, after watching her interview with Ann Lindmo, how far her mind is developed. I needed 3 times to understand, what she wrote, and I will have to read it many times over again. And remember, The shoeless girl, was persian. Angelina talked to her in her language fluently. I am VERY sure, she speaks, Norwegian, Swedish, English, Farsi and Japanese fluently. German she learned at school and at 8 she could speak a few sentences in German. French, she also learned at school and I am pretty sure she now speaks it as well as Spanish. Kerry stay safe and sound, Elmar from Germany.

What I know and my info might be wrong is that her uncle Mike and mother Sara are Mery's(her grandma) children to an Iranian father before Mery migrated to Japan with her children where she married the man who we knew as Angelina's Japanese grandfather. Her mother and uncle Mike grew up to Japan that's why they speak fluent Japanese. As for Angelina for sure she's already familiar with Japanese language but not on a speaking term as she used a translator to one radio interview when she was in Japan some years ago. After this performance some Japanese said that Angelina although she's reading lyrics here has a perfect japanese diction. She sounded more like a native singing the song.
