Oh my gosh Liz. I’ve never watched any of these gem videos of your before but this is exciting to watch you rummaging to find rock treasures! lol I remember seeing a huge chunk of raw amethyst quartz in your garden which is my favourite colour gem. I love my gems and went crazy collecting gemstone jewellery in my 30’s but now 20 years down the track I would be happier to do this. Even just those plain rocks would look lovely in the garden and pots. Nature is beautiful. 💚

Hi Liz, because of you I wanted to go to Bellata, so during our travels I actually got to go there. Never having been there before, we had no idea where to look. We stopped at the service station to refuel and my partner asked a man if he could point us in the right direction. Turned out he owned a quarry and he generously took us out there. I can't tell you how I felt, I felt like a child in a lolly shop. We stayed for a couple of hours, I had to contain myself because of space in the car, but it was so hard to leave. I am still amazed that the man let us go in, will be forever grateful. I had a ball. Cheers, keep the videos coming.

Good morning lovey 🤗 I've actually been mining my backyard rocks lately half-heartedly because I don't know what I'm looking for. I've been picking up chunks of Mica, silver and black mica. It's everywhere here and I found huge boulders with humongous Mica lines through them. My mother and I were always confused because these particular big rocks always look like chunks of cement but upon closer inspection it's actually the Mica that make them look like that. I put a few rocks aside in the garage for me to drill into and keep me busy over the winter . And it figures that my kids growing up always had Rock tumblers and never used them much but now we don't have them anymore when I really need them LOL Australia is such an interesting place. I've always wanted to go but since watching your channel my interest has reached its peak! I love watching all of your adventures!!!!

I found many of my favorite specimens at pull offs, needed to stretch and a couple hours later haha like you I have quite a few treasures. No one can make me smile as much as you do. Yes you do find more gems then many but really that is not what makes you happiest its the little treasures you find and just can't stop. Hugs

Liz, I love you guys noodling videos. I say to myself, they truly love their planet. I love agates. I made a tear drop agate just recently and oh did it turned out great. We mostly have here in Florida is agatized Coral. Beautiful agates, it has a brown tent with a milky form threw out the inside. The river it's found in are full of alligators, but most know that if you make it there in the mornings and during a freeze, they will not be a problem. Much love you guys.

Super cool spot! I hope i can visit australia to gem hunt and go precious metals prospecting once in my life. I am DYING to learn how to cut stones and to find a faceting machine of some sort. Gamb peg or hand manipulator or a post manipulator or lap and dob-sticks and angular templates. I need to get jewelry making tools, i want to try metalclay too. Ma'am , check out precious metal clay if you have never seen it . i just descovered it myself and am very intreagued. You shape it as clay, dry it and then kiln or blow torch it for a certain amount of time and when done you have shaped silver or gold or platinum, copper, bronze, metal object thats exactly like the clay sculpture. Just slightly shrank from binders and water cooking out .it leaves sintered metal. Or powdered metal formed into a solid shape. Sintered metal is very strong amd precise when done right. Its uses in heavy industrial use and often for gears and cogs that need perfect tollorances. Thats what makes me want to try it. Fine chains. With seemless links and mosaic backings are two things i want to try it with. Be well and thanks as always for sharing your world with the world. Its been inspiring. If you start collecting numismatic coins , then this channel will have touched on %90 of my current interests and attempts to have a normalish life. Interest in coins , gems and precious metals . It's had a big hand in saving my life and saving me from myself. Over the last two years i have gone from not caring if i wake up the next day and other far darker thaughts twords myself . i am looking twords the future currently and this sort of activity is something i can build a life on these interests with lots of hard work and dedication...which has never been lacking but the world is rarely kind to people like myself . nothing i have ever done has had a positive outcome. I think with coins and bullion , various types and forms of stones plus opal, jewelry ,display ideas and so forth, i can actually make my life better. Its not like i have bad Ideas often. The chrisopraise lamps (chalcydony ,agote, jasper, thin marble , and combinations of materials .like how a doublette would be made. It would be a nicely translucent colored and richly patterned (if it applies) Center stone with cool run led, and thin almost vaneir-like quartz lens' added to the outside to maybe magnify, enhance and protect the inner stone or what-have-you. Sorry to rant so much. Great video as usual!

"I don't know what I'm looking for".... That's my standard reply when browsing mineral fairs ! (The vendors always ask....) 😁 Well, tecnically I always look for things so rare they barely exist ! (Yep, I'm an oddball that way). 😉 So the stone cutting experts whip out their most prized treasures. "Have a look" they say. Private collection pieces are rarely for sale though.... (Which makes my bank manager happy, since I once spent a month's rent money on one single opal....) 💰😨💸 But then it's RED, and heart shaped ! 😍
