deckard163 that’s why you get a ktm, handles great in every aspect from fast straights to tight turns
@MrCleowaite6 жыл бұрын
deckard163 that’s the thing, if you have the money then get ktm, the steel frames flex unlike the aluminium which feels more forgiving and offering a plusher ride, suzuki turn great but not great fast rough because rake angle, yamaha seem neutral doesn’t do anything great or bad, honda as you say, Kawasaki push in corners, ktm corner great, rough straights great anything great it seems within the last couple of years they have gone away, but any good rider will get on any new bike and rip it the same at the end of the day, but from 2017 onwards I think ktm is the best you can get currently

deckard163 the problem with your whole "rake out the front" solution is that it will result in a rear steering bike, something that kawi is known for, and that isn't necessarily a good thing. Currently Honda's handling is the best thing going for them as they're near the top in that aspect but lack elsewhere. With correct suspension set up you shouldn't have to worry about head shake as you won't be going fast enough for it to naturally occur

Is motocross the only sport where the top riders drive what look like the products that are sold to the public? Unlike nascar, drag racing , ect It mat be the only sport that is like like this. I dont know.

Robert Clint they are very far from stock, many of the components aren’t available to the public. They keep them looking semi stock in order to advertise and represent the brand

RC you make a good point. I think even Moto GP bikes are obvious race-craft. You could also argue this from a different angle. Consider that much of what you see in modified "street legal" cars and trucks, are toned down versions race cars and trucks. It becomes a matter of how much you want to spend on your street machine - and some folks spend a lot! Granted, this is a different look at what you are talking about. You are talking about what rolls straight from the showroom floor vs a state of the art works machine.

know that they are not the same ..They just look the same..I do remember when Ricky Johnson would race bikes off the show room floor and smoke everyone.
