This is how a monorail ought to run. Several lines going both direction. Smooth. Silent. Functional. Practical; takes people places where they need to go. I don't see why we don't have more of these things going all over the place.

Not feasible everywhere. Way more construction involved and way more expensive per route mile.

The contractor should have been called out for the poor design. As you can see here, the trackway collects water and will contribute to accelerated concrete degradation, increasing maintenance costs.

The big limitation of the system was that it was built over the parking area, not the terminals. It’s faster to walk to an adjacent terminal than walk all the way to the local station via the central parking area, ride the 50 seconds to the next terminal, then walk back to the terminal side. It’s only useful to get to the rental facility, the BART station, or the outer parking garages. At least they changed out the awkward original announcement voice. “Please hold on. Please set luggage cart brakes to ‘on’.” It made my ears bleed every time I heard it.
@crazyoncoffee4 жыл бұрын
Oh really. I loved the old announcement. It reminded me of taking these trains with my dad when I was a kid. We’d go to the airport just to plane spot and ride around

@Luke_Starkenburg4 жыл бұрын
There is the Red Line I believe. This travels in the opposite direction around the terminals and does not go to the car rental station. It’s just one big loop.

Yep Luke I'm scared of height, especially over water. I'm from Northern Michigan so when I go home I have to cross the Mackinac Bridge. I always just look straight ahead I never look out at the water and I go as fast as I can to get to the other side....😅😄😂🤣 .keep up the good work and God bless! 🙇♂️🙇♀️💕

@aureliafrazier59274 жыл бұрын
Just my crazy sense of humor, I go home every year, and although I seriously have a fear of height, bridges, and water, I dont let it hinder me....i do not look out over the water, i pay attention to the road, speed limit, and safety of myself and others. I have traveled those roads with care all of my life .Before the bridge was built, my grandmother and i would go by ferry. As a child it was a great adventure, but being on a swaying bridge above deepppppp water, not so much! My story was in answer to a reply, not to offend anyone or have some feel that there is a crazy lady speeding across the bridge!....Oh and FYI for drivers that are that fearful, there are attendants at the bridge that will drive you across! Be blessed 🙇♀️ and show each other love!....it works! 💕💕
