This pod lost it's edge, heart and it's integrity a long time ago.. Joe gives Akademiks a pass but if Vlad or Adam said this then he would have (rightfully) been ranting and tearing up his whole studio. Akademiks was disrespectful and no, it wasn't a drunk accident or youthful immaturity. The core of who he has consistently been is someone with 98% negative content and making fun of people he thinks he has more money than. He platforms the most negative, immature and racist stereotypes about our culture; beef, violence, jail and who is rich. That's his code. That's what he's into. He's lucky that LL is more mature and has waaaaaaaay more to lose than Akademiks. You can tell LL was holding back. I'm sick of people of all races pimping our culture and then turn around and burn the very same forrest that allowed them to grow. The guy is in his 30s. Stop acting like he's a teenager who just doesn't know right from wrong. He gets clout from violence that don't concern him, platforms TRASH artists, promotes rap beef that can turn violent, disrespects the culture and is best buddies with harmful people like 69 and Vlad! He's doing everything possible to disrespect hip-hop & our culture. But he keeps getting a pass.. wow.

I make more money now than my parents. I would never call em dusty just because they didnt make the money i make now at their age or because they dont have what i have. The only reason i have what i have is because they sacrificed. It doesnt matter if they judge my generation or the ones after. Imma do the same when i get to their age. Its about respect for paving the way for me to elevate and it should be left at that.

1st of all I'd like to start by saying I agree in some ways But I also see it from the point of view Of the younger guy who gets where hes trying to get to And this older guy who never ever helped him on the way up What to do now Your parents my parentsThey built 1st They may have had criticisms over the years But they built 1st I don't like The way the 5th floor of your life is going You going to take that into consideration because they have built The foundation up to the 4th floor But some random guy That watch you make mistakes After mistake the same mistake he made But he never Warned you once But now he wants to criticize you at the finish line Are you really supposed to listen
@richkiddbeats
@richkiddbeats Жыл бұрын
@@horemmars i hear you but in Ak’s case he’s talking about guys that are the pioneers that did this shit before he was even born and probably retired before he became a media personality. The pioneers dont have to physically help just you, they helped all of us by daring to do the things at the time were taboo, uncommon or wasnt fully viable. Ak says he respects and grew up on Joe. Joe wouldnt be able to do what he did without watching his predecessors in either rap media or rap music like say a Jay Z. Jay always shows love and respect to Kane. Kane shows love and respect to Afrika Bambatta. Afrika Bambatta pays homage to James Brown. It keeps going down the line. You dont have to like or love them but respect should always be there for the ones the paved the way for you even if yall never had an interaction. If you respect and take care of the foundation of a building, it will stand tall and the floors above it wont ever have to worry about it crashing down.

It's because Hip hop is at the age where what is currently called "hip hop" is so far miles away from what early hip hop was that someone like AK who was born 20 years (at least) after it was invented cannot see the link between what he is listening today, to what came before. I was born well after hip hop was invented but. for example, Ice Cube AND Biggie sampled Grandmaster Flash, so I could never feel like they werent warranted of respect, because the artist I respected, where giving them the most respect already.

i glad LL said that, because in the US, i feel sometimes a bum could be king and telling the truth, the first thing they gone say is you can't speak because you broke. i also feel that when he said don' t equate someone figuring out business vs someone that contributed without as much financial gain, is also directed to Jay. But thats just me!

If Rory and Mal were still in the pod this would of been a hilarious segment of how LL is going to beat the bricks of AK when he see him. I like Ice and Ish but man they always gotta make shit so serious like I want to be entertained not feel bummed out.

He just went on the breakfast club and encouraged everyone to go and watch it because he clarifies what he was saying. Someone just took a clip. He wasn’t saying how LL took it. He was calling the rappers dusty the rappers that criticize the kids for making mistakes but never pass along game or try to help the kids.

Who passed along game to people who created it? You know how the pioneers passed along game, by living example. Do I need my brother to tell me not to get a girl pregnant as a teen while I have the ability to watch his life and struggle and learn what not to do?

All the older generations try to do is reach out to the youth! So many people just don’t respect their take’s because they aren’t known to them. The problem is people think if they’ve never heard of someone it’s an indictment on their contribution to hip hop, it’s actually just an indictment of their own musical knowledge.

@@singingchef23 This is a false equivalence. There's much more that goes on in the music industry than what consumers are made aware of.

I don't care how LL took it. AK is reckless in his speech and he is disrespectful. He didn't need to address LL directly, he was the voice for the voiceless (may not have the social media reach LL has), who paved the way for him. AK's message needed to be cleared. His reach to the younger generation is wide. He would be indirectly teaching the younger generation to disregard legends. Capitalism and legendary should not go hand in hand. All I heard was AK back tracking.
