I live in Europe : nobody knows Ak outside of the US, unlike the Hip-Hop pioneers. And think about it, you can go back to Vlad's interviews with dead rappers, or even Adam22's, those will be relevant 10 years from now. What video Ak made more than a year ago and is still interesting today? His content is very short-lived IMO.

It only happens in Hip Hop mainly. Nobody in rock is talking shit about Metallica or Rolling Stones, calling Pink Floyd dusty or even the fallen rock stars who are hopelessly lost in drug addiction or completely broke, it's not happening like that for them, and that alone should be questioned

Yayo is 💯% on point. You appreciate the art of the culture when you know the culture from the root. Vlad tries to make his point but every genre has that in it where the early pioneers never profited from the inception of a genre! But the future artist always gain from their sacrifices. Like Yayo said it doesn’t last forever. You just have to be smart with your time and money while you’re at the top. It’s not easy but it’s just what needs to be done.

You know that real hip hop has been on life support for years now, because these social media influencers and reporters like Akademiks or Vlad are more famous and relevant than the legends. As far as 80s Hiphop is concerned, folks seem to forget at that time it was being called "A Fad". The opinion of those outside the community was that it wasn't gonna last. The artform was so young and so new that most of the artists were doing it simply for the LOVE they had for the music. Most were teenagers. U can't expect a teenager to understand business. U can't expect a teenager to understand contracts.

Another problem is that most of the newer big name rappers aren't even great rappers and are making wayyyy more than the 80s/90s goats. Rappers from the 90s was balling off just $100K per platinum album then like $10-20K a show. Now these young rappers get sale money, different streaming platform money and like 100K- maybe even 1M a show.

The way the camera panned to the right is a new element in the visual interview.. it's very slight.. you may catch it in certain frames.. salute Vlad

The fact Vlad is questioning Yayo about a goofy like Akedemics calling a person dusty is disturbing at best. Vlad and Akedemiks are guests in Hip Hop. So Vlad is mad that people defend themselves from a goofy with a platform. The only Vlad and Akedemiks value is money. No morals no code no respect.

Are you saying only rappers should interview rappers?
@supersportlt1
@supersportlt1 2 жыл бұрын
@@Nismonomania Yes I am. Vlad has tried that on his platform but he fears losing his celebrity status. Vlad constantly reminds ex drug dealers that he tried to sell dope once which is his way of relating. He reminds ex convicts that he did a weekend in jail trying to relate. Vlad is nothing more than a fan of the negative side of African American culture. He's a culture vulture that's why Lord Jamar left him alone. Since Covid he started sprinkling in Monsters and Investors and Athletes to curb the narrative that he's a culture vulture but he built his platform off of exploiting African American pain and suffering.

It was also the beginning of hip hop, a new form of music, artists had to learn the hard way about managing money in order for this generation to learn from. Something so simple should not be made complicated
@JELIFISH19
@JELIFISH19 2 жыл бұрын
Not even. It's not about managing money. There wasn't nearly as much money to be made as there is today. It wasn't mainstream and they didn't have the backing that current rappers have.
