The Lab Coat has to stay, i feel like im taking a course now. Also Sean i am thinking about getting the XP68 from MCS. It is apparently somewhere between 40 - 50 joules out of thee box. Thoughts ?
@lesslethalfordummiesАй бұрын
The X68 seems to be getting good reviews regardless of the oring problem that seems to have plagued the first release. Oring failures are a way of LL life. Should they have happen so quick out of the box…no. If you cant fix an oring yourself, LL shouldn’t be your first choice.
@justinhalethesenuts7769Ай бұрын
@lesslethalfordummies totally agree, are you planning on reviewing one ?
@JoreelАй бұрын
@@justinhalethesenuts7769may be too powerful out of the box for the Canadian Government to allow. They have some very strict rules for airsoft apparently. The PX68 is a Beast and although you only get 7-8 shots out of the CO2, they are devastating shots. I have a 50 Joule HDX and after shooting 4.6 gram Homewrecker Busting Balls at an 8 pound vacuum sealed pot roast from 30, 20, 15, and 7 feet, the damage to the muscle tissue of the roast got worse and worse as I got closer. At 7 and 15 feet which is the average distance you'd be using your launcher, I had to dig the rounds out of the roast both times.

Not anytime soon as a dropped some coin on the 468 instead.

The X68 is allowed here being it is under 500fps. Personally I like a challenge when it comes to these launchers and the X68 doesn’t appear to need any additional help being all it can be 😆

Would you go for a m17 or a tmc for a 30-40 joule, reliable set up ?
@lesslethalfordummies8 күн бұрын
M17 can make 30-40j without breaking a sweat and far less modifications. The M17 does best with hpa and not ever co2 so that may also be a deciding factor. Comfortably the TMC is a 25j launcher all day using co2 and a longer barrel.

@lesslethalfordummiesАй бұрын
I never tested the MWR lock bolt mainly because i haven’t experienced one that worked well with LL. MWR did promise theirs wouldn’t self destruct like i have seen on others.
@bNikmagn18Ай бұрын

@@lesslethalfordummies i got the ECDPD part from MWR and it works as if you have marker corked but its actually uncorked, the plastic part of ECDPD which has magnet is pressed by bolt and detent staying untouched by projectile so that way you dont press detent and it saves its form and you can use that bearing ball as a shim on the spring. Question: do you the idea of how to make slide check on-off 12:20 ?
@lesslethalfordummiesАй бұрын
Like the Byrna? I toyed with some ideas because it is a slick unit. I believe the hard lines in the TMC are 1/4” automative brake tubing which is rated to over 4000psi, so 💯 safe for what we are doing. Check out MWR Paintball’s website maybe for some ideas. They do a remote line kit with reimagined pre-bent tubing which is where i realized the hard lines are commercially available and malleable (bendable).

The power tube itself only directs the flow from the valve inside. There are ways to increase the volume but they wont be aesthetically pleasing.

How well does this setup work with a hopper? And regular paintballs? Im looking to get a TMC and make it have higher fps and weigh less at the same time
@lesslethalfordummies21 сағат бұрын
Thats a very good question. I never tested it with a hopper but there is no reason it shouldn’t work. Even with the HD drive spring i rarely encountered a chop running magazines. Gravity might behave a little differently.
@dale5560Ай бұрын
I know you tried the TechT bolt, but try the TechT bolt with the TechT hammer with the slug and the heavy spring that came with the hammer.
@lesslethalfordummiesАй бұрын
The current setup was most reliable in all my test.
@dale5560Ай бұрын
@ did you try that combination? I am getting 468 -25 joules
@lesslethalfordummiesАй бұрын
Problem is the drive spring is still too spindly to reliably hold that power for an extended period of time. I tried every commercial specific spring for the TMC. They all eventually lost too much power. Even this super heavy spring i am using does, but not to the extend of the others. This is the nature of springs unfortunately. It should also be added that i put thousands of rounds through my marker on this particular spring and this plays a huge part in some of the decisions I make. When this spring is new it shoots about 20fps faster than this video demonstrated and of course I was also running without a shim.

What about a 16 gram co2 how would that work just more shots? Or more power?
@lesslethalfordummiesАй бұрын
16g just helps finish an entire mag with more consistent velocity when compared to the 12g in this particular launcher. If the co2 was horizontal out back you would probably see a slight boost in power.

Out of curiosity for someone who’s not very familiar with modding these launchers, how much of a process would it be to get this thing to fire around 25-28 joules?
@lesslethalfordummies24 күн бұрын
Adding a long barrel would be the easiest way to get the velocity up. I would recommend a 14” TMC Lion Claw barrel from MCS and dont forget to pick up a flash hider to finish it off. The factory barrel is 12” but only has 11” of actual control.
