If i already have an LLC from another venture i no longer use. Would it still be smart to hold off with having payments going to the LLC and simply continue having payments go to me directly until over the $50k mark.

I started an LLC, got an EIN, and a separate business bank account. I have been establishing all of this while studying for the loan signing test. I did because I want all money separate from my job. Hi Kayla: I'm starting my own NSA business here in Tucson and I'm doing a ton of KZbin research to get started on the right foot. Your videos are very helpful, informative and you express a lot of the anxiety I feel in getting started. I've been a Notary since 2009 but have never made it a full time business until now. One of the things I've learned from another KZbin educator is to have your tax professional pay special attention to IRS publication 334. He claims it can save Notaries hundreds or even thousands of dollars on your taxes. I thought I'd pass it along since we all need relief in growing our business. Hi Kayla! True story.... I was listening to your video on the notary bond and application name needing to match. I had literally put my application with money order, and copy of my notary bond in my mailbox. The tax lady that notarized my notary Oath told me it costs about $1000 annually to create and maintain and LLC... Just as a fee to the IRS or to get the EIN. Maybe I misunderstood..... Great information. I know you had posted somewhere (FB??) that you were using a CPA in Queen Creek? I'd love his info if you wouldn't mind sharing? I have a CPA but I've noticed this time of year when I go to do my taxes is not a good time for me to ask questions/get answers. Yes! I'm using Dawson at Queen Creek Accounting. I think most CPA's will be the same way as they're very busy this time of year. I'm not sure if he's taking new clients at the moment, but it's worth a shot. I called him back in the beginning of December and we chatted for a bit about what direction I need to go in. Check with your bank sometime they allow you to give other documents to prove that you are a business and allow you to open up the account and you can always add the EIN number when you get it. I could be wrong but I don't think a EIN number is the only piece of document you can show as proof to open a business account.

Hi Kayla. I am new to the business and I’m trying to figure out if it’s even worth. How could it be profitable to work through the signing agencies if they pay you $80-$100 per signing and you use your own printer, toner, paper, car, etc It looks like one actually be in loss. I don’t see it’s profitable. i cab understand a direct signing but through the agencies I am very questionable on that. could you please explain? maybe I’m missing something ? thank you so much

I plan on bringing in over $10k/month in the next couple of months and it makes sense to spend the money to make sure my bookkeeping is done correctly and I don’t enjoy that side of the business, so I decided to outsource. I’d rather pay the small fee to get time back.

I signed up for 25 to start out. I recommend signing up for as many as you can until you start getting so many signings you have to turn them down. Sometimes that's 10, sometimes that's 100 you'll have to sign up for. Depends on your area. Good luck!
