what's so great is that there's no soundtrack to the film, at all. Paul Thomas Anderson and Tarantino films have long periods of no music whatsoever, but never none (PTA gets great music from Greenwood, of Radiohead, always). But to go "nah, we don't need music in the major motion picture" is pretty amazing

We all love this story and to discuss about it because A) Llewelyn is not some can-do-no-wrong movie hero but seems like an actual person, plus Josh Brolin gives a damn likeable performance - - you just HAVE TO root for him. B) we all like to think of what we would have done if we ourselves happened to run into a 2,4 million dollar drug deal gone wrong. And there are NO easy answers except the obvious smart ass ones - summarized as check for the transponder and dont bring water back to the dying hombre. It is easy to spit nonsense but you are not in his position. Plus with all the cold brutality of Chigurgh, he would eventually connect the dots, roam around for answers and probably find out about "that Moss boy who took off two weeks ago without any comment and was carrying a briefcase or sumthn". C) so even with clear thinking, there is no easy answer. Llewelyn could have tracked down a transponder and made a run for it but would he move to a Carribbean Island carrying that type of moNey? Or bury it somewhere to lose track of Chigurh for a year or two before starting to invest? Interesting dilemmas, no clear answer. But this movie is about YOU and ME because admit it or not, every one of you is seeing themselves in Llewelyn's position.

One of my top 10 favorite movies here. I live in Texas and have some commercial properties that I lease to various small businesses. Most of them are Mexican , contractors and mechanic shops. They are from Mexico and have told me stories of doing work for clients , either on cars or homes where they stumbled upon huge sums of drugs or cash. They all said that they just knew that it was Drug Cartel related and to leave it alone , that the risk was not going to be worth it.

He had the right idea, up until he decided to bring water back to the guy that was already dead. As well as failed to count the money which would have presented the tracker. Best thing you could do if you come into money like that is to sit on it. Making large purchases raises red flags and makes you easier to find. Stick with your day job for another year or so, before eventually just retiring.
