Traditional machine learning is not dead; on the contrary, it is undergoing intense development and adaptation to new challenges. As the technology evolves and the demand for advanced data analysis grows, ML will play an increasingly important role in technological and business innovation. It is the current LLM technology that is developing thanks to ML algorithms(e.g. Reinforcement Learning, graph theory etc.).

Absolutely, the core principles still apply, and all of the good data practices that work for good old machine learning can be equally applied in the LLM world. I don't think we're saying to throw away everything that we were already learned. It's just that there's an almost one-size-fits-all solution here.

ugh, honestly though, if AI does replace more traditional software development, it's just so *boring*. bug fixing is tedious. describing something in english is tedious. building something isn't. i'd be fine with this being AI's peak tbh.
