Great documentary. Ultimately, Tris served briefly in prison but fully cleaned up his act and changed his name to Mike Nelson for a "fresh start". Following his release he enlisted in the Navy, became a skilled diver and afterward went into the diving business. Incredible.

Barbara Payton, died in her late 30s, she was the daughter of alcoholics and became one herself. She was drug addicted as well and was often beaten while she was on 'skid row' ending up arrested for prostitution. Unbelievably she was once married to actor Franchot Tone, involving him in a scandal that almost cost him his life. One of Hollywoods saddest stories.

Same here. Where I grew up, Midland, TX, Sea Hunt came on Sunday night at 9:00. 1958-1961 it was on when I was 8-11 years old. I never missed a episode! 👍👍👍

They used to film Sea Hunt off the Palos Verdes Peninsula which separates Santa Monica Bay from San Pedro Harbor in LA. I grew up near where they filmed it and as a little kid would see them sometimes. John Wayne used to also wander around Redondo Beach here on weekends when he docked his boat in iur harbor (same place Sea Hunt was based in). My favorite local diner, a literal stone's throw from my grandmother's apartment, still carries the menu items he had them make for him as specials. We still have actors and studio people in the neighborhood even though it's a pretty middle class place.

@5:02, the teller defaces evidence with a big rocker stamp. A teller would have placed the bill in an envelope, not deface it. Next, the treasury guys are "inspecting" the same bill for characteristics. Of course now it has no "counterfeit" stamp on it.

This was an OK film as it "unfolded"..... But adding another 10 minutes could have further developed the ending into a less hurried, and a more rightfully consistent climax that would have made it far more worth while watching. 👌

These movies are well written enough to draw you into the storyline but the big achilles heel they had is knowing that the 'good guys' would always prevail in the end. Kind of sucks the life out of them.
