Great diagnostic skills, however I’m confused why did the car not start initially when you bypassed the main relay ?

Nice video mate ! I did not have the same issue but i used your diagram for the Simtec MS 75 ECU system (Opel uses more systems). Low voltage to engine ECU - Replace ECU code - Brake lights on all the time. Checked all the powers and had a wire with 2.8 V on it. Corrosion in de taped part next to the connector. Fixed the wire and it runs again. I post this for a future reader with the fault. The break lights go on by the ecu, i think it runs on can low, did not see anything in the can signal. Cheers people !

That spindly wire you found external to the loom was much thinner than the manufacturer’s original. Someone fitted that bodge wire to overcome a previous fault, to overcome a poor connection or failure of the original wire. The bodge wire then failed itself ! bringing back the original fault......

@@LMAutoRepairs Can I ask a question? You look like a guy good guy. I have an Opel Astra F, from 1996. I keep it in good condition, and I heard noise from the clutch, and transmission. I went to a mechanic, to change the clutch set, and probably the whole transmission, cause its cheaper that way for me. After the oil change and the transmission swap, I have low oil pressure, it lights up, and I can even hear sometimes the engine is dry. Wtf? Is this just a coincidence, that the oil pump just went out right after the fix, or did they fuck up something? Before that, engine was perfect. Sry for long post.

@@attilakolumban7186 Difficult to say... it could be just a coincidence, but happening right after that work done...🤔 Just visual inspect the engine bay, etc... check the oil level if you haven't yet...

Hi guys. I know this is an old thread but still trying my luck for a response. I had my starter motor serviced on my 06 Astra H cdti. But when I install it back on the car it starts winding before I turn the car to start (key on On motor is kicking in) wondering what could be the cause.
@LMAutoRepairs2 жыл бұрын
Either a faulty alternator, or you have connected it wrong... What was the issue before, for you to have it serviced? 👍👍👍
@Bilbyflix2 жыл бұрын
@@LMAutoRepairs The issue was the brushes, had them replaced. Starter seems to work just fine when I bench test it. Dont think it's the alternator because that was not a problem before. Could be a bad connection like you suggested. Or could it be the starter relay?
@LMAutoRepairs2 жыл бұрын
Could be a sticking relay... unplug it at see what happens...

That's awesome, could I request a video for someone like my self that actively avoids anything electrical in cars. Maybe a video on stuff you wish you new earlier and or best tips and tricks for electrical fault finding and fixing. I'd really appreciate it. As I found this video super helpful and actually made me want to start learning more. Thanks again for the content and sharing your knowledge

Do you know what the problem is, I have an Astra H 1.6 16v XEP twinport, it reports a cylinder misfire error when the weather is cold, the bomb and spark plugs have been replaced but the problem still exists?
@LMAutoRepairs4 жыл бұрын
Injectors perhaps? Have you checked compression? Thank you for watching!
@goranmilic24494 жыл бұрын
@@LMAutoRepairsI didn't check the compression, but I doubt the valves are wrong, because weird detonations are heard on the exhaust!
