I learned a lot from this video it’s just a shame that car manufacturers aren’t compelled to give easy access to full wiring diagrams and part numbers which would help a lot, well done 👍

I had an Audi A6 C5 I changed the rear wheel bearing and the abs started going off intermittently. I then fitted a new aftermarket abs sensor as the old one was slightly damaged so I thought it was that. I ended up having to get the cheap version of vag com to measure the readings. It turned out to be a loose tone ring on the new wheel bearing that was slipping now and again!

I would call it Quality escape but not the factory solution was last almost 10 years long that is 3 times of the normal guarantee term. So it could be acceptable for manufacturer point of view however I do not want to be the owner of such a vehicle.. Most probably it is approved by a deviation request to save some money and avoid manufacturing line stop... or simple a stupid design :) DiagnoseDan had exactly same wiring issue in an another VW concern car recently.. btw wehn I remove some internal panels on my Renault I found similar nince factory solutions so it is not manufacturer specific :)

Nothing wrong with the solution, more with the quality of it... 👍👍👍

@@LMAutoRepairs well a wire solder joint failure in vehicle around 10 years could be an acceptable lifetime. Aging, hardening,fatigue,oxidation... In a PCBA solder joint it is a totally different story.
