@@Nekotaku_TV sometimes switching characters gives you what you need to close it out, that’s clear across multiple smash titles. same reason you switch stages if it’s not going your way

I can speak on both sides of the argument here (especially as a ness main), its may be better to switch sometimes to play the matchup or get a win or whatever it may be but some players have hard main’d a character and just cant. Fatality constantly plays CF even if its a bad-matchup. Sometimes you just need to prove to yourself that yes, you stuck out with this character and against the toughest odds. You won. Its a sense of achievement you cant really get if you just “switch characters” even if youre good at those other characters. Mkleo says and did the same with byleth against tweek. Its a fun topic to talk about IMO but these pros have their own mindset so who knows really.

Ness has the same issue as smash 4 ness. Strong at the beginning of the game but has dlc gets added he gets worst and worst. Ness really has the same issue are Kazuya just not as bad. You can camp him so hard, loses to swords and characters that just have bursty moves like Bayonetta

Problem about Ness is if you play against someone who knows to sdi your pk is gone and pretty much your whole game too. Poor recovery, floaty, bad up b, neutral b, can't get an early kill without being pk fire, is just bad overall.

Ness probably has one of the most kill confirms in the game. Heck, his PK Rocket can kill any opponent at 60% which is just as good as JigglyPuffs rest

PK fire is not bestness’ win condition. Pk flash is actually quite good in certain situations. And ness’ recovery is actually good if you know how to mix up with it.
