only works on the holy water and simon can still punish you either way, also it only works once the holy water explodes, not when it's still on the air. This matchup is just horrible.

For real. Lucas doesn't have a good enough reflector to capitalize on projectiles and he doesn't quite have the moveset for getting through zoners.

I always feel like T3Dom is a little light on axes, as one of my two favorite players, he's top tier Belmont so it's nice to see them much heavier in the mix I am sure everyone feels this way about their main but I just love watching a Belmont beat down like in game 5, much love to Lucas player though could have gone either way unrelated fantasy: t3 & squidplumber (who may only know of each other, different coasts) do a doubles tournament for funsies. I would love to see double Belmonts polluting the screen with whips, axes, crosses, & holy fire

I mean in order to edgeguard the richter you have to beat him in neutral which is difficult to fo as Lucas.

yeah I'm not super familiar with all the frame rate statistics and this and that so I don't know how everyone else is drawing their conclusion, but I'm looking at the PK fire and the PK thunder as soon as you're off ledge as kind of a big hill for a Belmont there are a few kills from smashes but plenty of kills were recoverable for Richter if he didn't get doinked with the Pk Thunder before whipping to ledge I get zoner v zoner Belmont has range & power, but Lucas has several tools that are not easy to overcome and he is in a smaller frame making it much much more precise to land hits than a big slow boy like krool bowsie ganon or dk - Belmont's famously go through and over the top of opponents even when properly input due to height

​@@TheIcedPeanutI kind of agree with you and I'd have to watch the match a second time much more closely but it did seem that the Belmont was winning the projectile / shield battle - much more precise and efficient blocking more as a function of performance than matchup, which I think made the neutral seem more advantageous to Richter, because the intricacies of t3s inputs are hard to notice the whip is generally one frame wide & one frame active, not precisely, but the hit rate and accuracy to dominate neutral as a Belmont is dramatically harder/requires significantly more precise inputs than most of the roster there is most certainly a bell curve to playing as a Belmont just came up with that somebody gimme a round of applause

everyone says that about characters which aren't their main. Every character has an 'unfair,' 'brainless' option. In terms of belmont gameplay, t3 dom is definitely one of the most interesting ones to watch

@@juantrejos589 Respectfully disagree. In this matchup, Lucas wants to get in and Richter doesn't want to let him in. If he could have gotten in and done his aggressive combos, T3Dom would have lost. That didn't happen, and because regalo is probably a bit inexperienced in this matchup, he got ledge-trapped hard. If you think Richter is boring, I recommend watching some of T3Dom's highlights. He's an amazing player, and honestly makes Belmonts look cool. For the record, I think Regalo is also an amazing player, and I've watched all his highlights. They're amazing, and I like his aggressive style. Also, for all the people who think Richter-Lucas is abysmal for Lucas, T3Dom considers it -0.5 for Lucas and ChocoTaco considers it even.

Lucas's combo game relies on actually being able to combo someone, but zoners make that near impossible for him. PK Fire is the only way for him to even attempt to get in against Richter because he doesn't have anything else. Go watch Regalo's games against Yonni and WhyDo or literally anything from Blucas for a better representation of Lucas.
