I like how much Richter's fighting style makes sense considering what he/who he fights in Castlevania games..change some of the terminology and i could imagine a Belmont actually giving some of these tips to stay alive against monsters/vampires lmao. Keep your distance, overcommiting is death, punish them when theyre coming down from the air. Basically, use your weaponry and remember they are faster and stronger than you at point-blank range. Dont get into a fist-fight with Dracula, son lmfao

Dom, thank you so so much for this updated tutorial. Richter is my main and I overthink his gameplay heavily, but whenever I watch you play or any of your tutorials, it drastically helps me to hone in his abilities and use the character the way he’s supposed to. Thank you so much for all you do!!!

fantastic stuff sir! for a bit of feedback, here @7:28 I would have put in a list of all the characters who downsmash/down-angled fsmash won't work on other than that, this was GREAT! learned some new neutral mixups and ledge traps. I'm happy 😁

I got a metafy lesson from Dom a year ago and even though I wasn't doing that bad locally and don't play as much Belmonts, I got significantly better at understanding how good their advantage and neutral could be, as well as new ways to deal/approach MUs!

Give the belmonts a faster fall and a faster roll so the opponent doesn’t get a tech chase would be so good. It’s things like that which could be updated

who are the other top belmonts you can recommend watching? the guide is appreciated but using yourself for all the clips kind of makes it have one flavor. i am wondering if the character discord can contribute to you as well to give it a richer (richter?) perspective

It genuinely bothers me that Richter doesn't have strong input versions of a lot of his moves. The FGCs all do, so it annoys me. I know it doesn't make sense for Simon, and they aren't really 1-1 versions of the original moves... but wouldn't it be awesome to have a longer, more powerful dash attack, or a higher reaching, more powerful up special? Plus, it would've been nice to have the kickoff backflip you can choose to do after double downtilt. OH... and some implementation of his standing backflip... it's all silly to think about on an update dead game, but still. For anyone curious, look up all of Richter's input special moves for Symphony of the Night. Sooo many moves. Like... his dash attack should be able to be done in the air too. I could harp on this forever. I'll go now. :D
