7:28, this is the Smash I usually love. Fundamentals and movement. Precise ledge trapping, Kazuya didn't move until 80%, Leo reacting and outplaying every option. I dont like "take a hit in the middle of the level and die from it" style. I know that the game is vast and can appeal to different types of approaches and ppl, but this type of play will always be what makes me appreciate a top player in action.

On the stream, you could tell that Bruho was very tired. He just came off a game 5 last hit set vs PkChris and was prolly tilted by that too. Also, it’s worth saying that Riddles said that playing Kazuya at max force for an entire tournament is extremely tiring. I’m sure that probably had an effect on Bruho. Great player and a fun guy to watch. Leo the goat tho

It mostly came from bad habits and feeling overwhelmed because Leo is very good at that as a player. So I agree with what you were saying but us also just bad habits on his part

@Raphspriggan Exactly why you should only camp and mixup as Kazuya, since his punish openings are the most broken in the game. And I repeat myself, he rushed ARSENE. He could have just camped it and run the timer out with a single combo, yet he decided to consistently lose 1 or 2 stocks the second Arsene appeared

That last stock of game 2 is the first time since frostbite 2020 that I've se3n Leo look like his prime self with Joker. The mind games, spacing, movement, and call outs were perfect. People say Leo fell off because everyone caught up but I don't think that's entirely true. People did get better but Leo also stopped playing like his peak self after covid and maining byleth then aegis for so long.

If you are talking about do they make a living off of just playing smash bros then the vast majority don't. They either have part time/full time jobs. Only those with a good sponsor or soneone who wins all the tournaments that they go which is no one at this point

@@OscarToro-s6b You have to, or you'll just get burned out. Keep in mind though that many of them are extremely young, so they have the time to sink several hours a day into it. Still in high school or just out of it. That said, many of them have girlfriends, wives, even kids. Still though, to play at a top level, it demands a lot of time. Unless you're Sparg0, who can play both Smash and Rivals at a top level and still come off as competently put together.
