They have one set of commentators rotating between 4 games happening simultaneously during pool play. There are way too many games for them to have commentators dedicated to each game or to have the games happen one at a time. Once they move further into the tourney and there are fewer competitors remaining, you’ll notice one commentator team will stick to one match for all the sets.

4:51 the mark of a seasoned Ryu in Ultimate is his ability to convert off of soft nair at 80ish percent. He did so with dash walk down tilt into Shoryu, no less. Great showing.

So I don’t follow much of competitive smash at all but I always see MKLeo using DLC characters. He’s one of the best ever so no hate but is he good with out the DLC?

He played meta knight for counter picking in Japan, his Marth would be the best in the world if he played him and he played Corrin for a short period and did extremely well against everyone even beating Sparg0 (best player in the world currently)

He’s used a few other regular characters before but these guys get payed to win tournaments. I don’t blame them for using mostly DLC characters. 🤷‍♂️

Leo started with using Ike and was already winning tournaments with him. Leo has used Marth, Lucina, Wolf and Corrin. He’s literally reverse 3-0’d riddles and his Kazuya with Marth whilst he was high as a kite.

The 3 best characters in Ultimate are non DLC. Not that the DLC fighters aren’t strong but Byleth is widely considered to be mid tier

This is because this is in pools which have multiple matches going on at the same time, in which they switch around between different matches and commentate one at a time as it’s hard to commentate around 4 matches at once. Hope this helps.
