Tony! You are an angel sent from heaven above. I was just about ready to roll my truck off a cliff and then jump when I came across your videos. For the ever loving life of me I could not trouble shoot why these relays. would not work. Then I clipped the wires and now I'm ready to enter my windows into a "window drag race". So good! Glad I could help! That's why I made these videos. I knew I wouldn't be the only one to run into this problem. Still not sure why LMC doesn't provide this information with each harness set sold.

Sorry for the stupid question but just wanting to double-triple check since I'm about to install this on my truck... wire it up per LMC instructions and test it, and if using the switch blows the fuse, cut the thick black wire from each relay? (So 4 wires cut total?) Thank you!

Yes, that is correct. Some applications work as it is wired, but others cause the fuse to blow immediately if you do not cut the 4 heavier gauge wires at the bottom of each relay.

Does the original window harness need to be used in order for it to work?

Adrian, I need you to clarify what you mean by "original". Do you mean the one originally on the vehicle, or do you mean the one that comes with the kit?

Yes, the harness that originally came with the truck.

@@adrian78238 Yes, keep the original door/window wiring harness, unless there's some problem with it. The LMC Power Window Relay Harness splices into the original wiring between the window lift motor and the window lift switch. The installation instructions with the relay kit is pretty clear about how to connect the kit. The only thing you may need to do is to make fix I discuss in my video. Sounds like some applications may not require my modification, from other comments I have received.

Tony, did you cut both big black wires to each relay for it to operate?

Erik, Yes, I cut each to the larger gauge black wires coming from each relay into the wire harness. Word of caution: I have heard that not all year model applications require this modification, so be sure that is what you want to do. If so, make sure to leave enough room to reconnect the wires you cut, just in case it isn't correct.

I created the videos after having done the modifications (to be sure it worked), so just going through the process and reasoning by discussion, not by actual example.
