I've watched this scene like 1000x and every time he says "I've loved you for so very long Trina", I immediately say outloud to myself "he really has!!!" LOL 😊 Because he has loved her for so long. Quietly, in the background. Keeping his feelings to himself. Probably not feeling worthy of her or thinking that she would never love him in return bcuz he's never felt worthy of being loved. And it's so beautiful to see how he is finally able to tell her how much he had loved her since he met her! The montage was a beautiful addition by the writers. It shows that Sprina had literally built a mini life of their own before they were an official couple or declared their love for each other. But more importantly, it highlighted all the trials and tribulations that they have had to overcome to reach this beautiful iconic stage in their lives. It is hard to believe that at their young age, they have gone through more hardship than most married couple on the show. Sprina has already paid their dues and then some. These permanent writers better not take their relationship backwards after all the effort, energy and brilliance that the temporary writers have gone through to rightfully give them their moment in the spotlight. After all the beauty, grace and dignity that we have witnessed in our beloved couple's performance this week, the Fandom will not stand still for any monkey business from the permanent writers. Permanent writers get your act together, or step aside and let the temporary writers work their magic. They have done a great job with all the storylines and have presented the actors with more intelligent and dramatic dialogues that highlights their natural talent...that aspect was totally absent from the permanent writers boring work. Just like Joss & Dex! Only difference is that it didn't take them as long as Trina & Spencer to establish a connection and eventually fall in love as their chemistry was off the charts since Day 1. And, please don't get me started on Cam. Yes, he's a nice guy. But when it came to Joss, there was ZERO chemistry between her & Cam. Plus, (and don't get me wrong) Joss & Cam might have looked cute together from a typical perspective, but that relationship was so artificial and forced upon by the producers, it was doomed to fail one way or another. Aside from all that, we now have two young couples who are fully committed to one another: Joss & Dex and Trina & Spencer! However, I do have a feeling that if and when Cam comes back, we might see a developing relationship between him & Esme! I know that sounds crazy and you're probably saying, "That's never going to happen!" But given some of the group pics we've seen of these six beautiful young stars featuring Cam & Esme standing next to each other, who's to say that it's impossible when in fact it is possible? Finally, getting back to Trina & Spencer, like Joss & Dex, Michael & Willow, and any other couples we've seen in the past, we know that both have been to hell and back just to find each other. And I believe they'll live on as one of the most thriving young couples in the history of General Hospital.

Spencer having a discussion with Trina about why she didn't express how she felt about him when he professed his love for her back at the hotel literally took me back in time to their conversation at Kelly's diner eons ago when Trina expressed that she felt a certain way about him and then used the term "frienship" to describe her feeling. Back then, Spencer was expecting her to say that she felt something more than frienship for him because he was already in love with her. I could tell that when he professed his love for Trina and made a toast "to the woman I love," the poor boy was expecting her to say something about how she felt. However, Trina played it cool by simply saying "to us." When Spencer echoed back the words "to us," his voice was visibly low because Trina had not said anything back about her feeling for him. The discussion that they had at dinner after she declared her love for him showed that Spencer was at least a little concern about whether she returned his feelings...that is classic Spencer, and he craves Trina's love. Well Spencer, you finally got the total package that is Trina. I couldn't be more proud of Sprina and the way that they blew me away with their performance. They were poetry in motion. It was pure bliss to watch them openly express their love for each other without reservation and with such unspoken desire. I mean, Spencer all dressed up was pacing the floor like an expectant father waiting for Trina to come out of the bathroom. When she finally did, she was stunning and she left him breathless. Then at dinner, they both refused dessert... with Trina saying "we got to go," and Spencer saying "check please." That was awesome. Everything was just perfect and they handled themselves with such grace, class and dignity. I fell in love with them all over again. I've got to give thanks again to the temporary writers for doing a great job of bringing Sprina's love story to the forefront. You know what I realized from reviewing these clips over and over again, the little argument that they had about who said "I love you" first was more significant to their journey than I thought. Spencer never truly thought that he was worthy of Trina's love because he had said so many times (Britt was the first person that he had confided in about not being worthy of Trina). Even though he knew he loved Trina with all his heart, somewhere deep inside of himself, because he had never felt truly loved by anyone, he wondered if he was capable of being loved by someone like Trina, as everybody around him had echoed the same doubt that gnawed at him. Trina saying "I love you to him was going to be the ultimate freedom and liberation of his heart from an ache that he had suffered for years now. That freedom was also to be a release of his mind, body and soul from the chain that kept him from professing his own feeling to Trina earlier than their trip to New York. So, when he professed his love for Trina at the hotel and she did not reciprocate, I think that his heart sank a little bit, and the doubt of unworthiness creeped back into his mind and created an uncertainty that he was not quite sure what to do with. So, like a trooper, he carried on with their plans, waiting for that moment to come. After all, their trip had just began. So when she finally declared his love for him, the little argument that followed was Spencer's way of reaffirming that she really did say that she loved him, and the release of the weight of the torment that he had been carrying around for what seems like a lifetime...waiting for the woman that he loves to confirm for him that he was worthy of her. Stated so well my lady and Spencer were so happy when Trina said she loved him so much. He started spatting with her about why she didn't say it earlier. He thought that she didn't love him, but her kisses showed differently. His heart was not aching for her any longer because her love gave him everything that he needed right now and beyond. Trina spats back by telling Spencer you better not say I don't love you (that was so funny). Couples need to do that in their relationships today.

I'm glad Spencer was the one who told Trina first that he loved her and that he loved her for a long time. He really did since the end of her trial for the sex tape ( as we know it), but I think he loved her much longer than that perhaps even before Esme came into the picture. Even before Esme came Spencer was into Trina ( at the party he threw for her) and he almost kissed her , so it truly shows. When Trina said that she loved him she looked free and happy like she can be totally honest about her feelings. She's really appreciative of the fact that he continues to make time for their relationship ; like he told Portia he would but I want Spencer to also be appreciative to the fact that Trina is very understanding and patient when it comes to Ace, and how much attention he's giving him.

I need Spencer to get his own place after NYC because my girl Trina is about to get a draw and a toothbrush next to his. I have a feeling if he moves out she'll be with him more than at the dorms. That is the time when she first took over for Sydney and she got to Spencer, and he fell for her. I thought that scene was pivoting and so raw. Spencer looked like he wanted to cry, she tore him up in that room. I think he was talking when he met her at the art gallery when Sydney played the part, she hit him with that alarm thing in her hand. Tabby came in at the police station for her first acting with Spencer.
