Wow!!! I said it already but GREAT scene. Tabby really hit the ground running with this recast. She has chemistry with every actor and actress that she interacts with too. They really seem like mother and daughter. I felt empathy for both of them.

This scene gripped me. I could feel Trina's heart breaking into a million pieces as she realizes that her mother, hero, and mentor broke her trust, ultimately crushing her walls of safety. The person she relied on and trusted the most, did the ultimate betrayal; robbed her of her OWN identity! Trina's whole world, her whole foundation was built on a lie, a sandy base, perceived as solid rocks (or cement). That sandy base has suddenly turned into quick sand, and the impossible, to her, is happening: she's sinking in it. The only one that can pull her out of her "bottomless pit" is Spencer. He's the rock and pillar she's going to have to lean on, until she's ready to rebuild (herself) again. And hopefully, they can build a new foundation together, with a nice house, and picket fence, overlooking the ocean, where their traumas are buried deep (hopefully never to resurface again), and witness the beautiful display of the sunrise and sun setting on the edge of earth's mysteries. I hope they can find the beauty in being grounded again. If lands and oceans can co-exists, so can pain and beauty, after all, that's what cultivates life on earth!

It's so amazingly crazy how one relationship that looked rock solid was built on a foundation of lies, and the other that started with a lie will be stronger because they are building it with a more solid foundation together. BTW, you have a lovely way with words Bestie.

Beautiful and yet heartbreaking scene between the two. Brooke Kerr is really a good actor and her love for Trina feels so genuine in this moment. Although, this information was a lot for Trina to handle she was more concerned about her Dad’s feelings regarding her mother’s deception then her own despair over the news. I think a part of her is not overtly surprised, but nonetheless, this has created a deep fracture in their relationship. On the bright side, we will be finally getting a kiss soon. Who knew I would be so ecstatic. 😂

People makes mistakes, parents are never perfect,Portia made her mistakes wish she took the tests earlier,Portia dealt with alot in her marriage which made her cheat which is never an excuse. None of what you're saying is true. Curtis was 1 year sober when he and Portia met and he left Portia because he found out she was married. She didn't tell him because she wanted to believe Taggert was the father and wanted to make her marriage work (according to her). I don't even like Curtis but his former drug use had nothing to do with her decision making.
