If you really look closley in season 2, Dimple is one, if not the character that cares the most for Mob. Not in the shonen sens, but in a more real way. He tries to protect him from people using him, always gave his honnest and straight forward opinion to Mob, talked when he tought Mob was doing something stupid, getting carried away, etc... I always loved dimple for being a real one at least to Mob when it came to things that might actualy hurt him psychologically and physically

Bones only does the animation and storyboards of the show. The creative desicions with the writing of the episodes as well as other things are done mostly by another team.

That last scene, I swear. Whoever in the studio came up with that sound effect/soundtrack of the creaking as a point of conflict and stress in the show is incredible. The tension that's built from Ritsue's encounter is enough to stress you out, but the creaking while Mob walks through the fire is too good. Then the pay off of the insane breaking of Mob at what he sees. Chills every time.

I never noticed but when Reigen says he doesn't think there will be many customers so he will help mob, there's a pan to his computer screen with the schedule and I think he was busy af but that just shows how far Reigen has come.

Also, in the first part of the Mogami Arc, when the psychics were all fighting possessed Minori, and it was clear that Mob would have a hard time winning, in the manga, Reigen lied to Mob, telling him to run away, beacuse "between all of us we'll have no trouble beating him, so you can go and get an ambulance"... Reigen was clearly expecting to be killed in there, but still wanting to make sure to get Mob out of there as soon as possible.

Damn I've been waiting for this one! To this day it's still one of my favorite of Mob💙 Like it's just so good! I remember feeling happy and proud of Mob, every scene was literally filled with pure joy and then without any warning THAT happened. I wasn't exactly shocked but after "???" I space out for about 15 minutes, staring at the wall thinking "there's no way" ⚰️ And even now I still have the same feelings, doesn't matter how many times I've watched it. Studio Bones did a wonderful job with this episode 💙

They nailed everything about this episode. From a technical standpoint, from a writing standpoint, everything builds to make that final scene absolutely brutal. In many ways, it's one of the most intense scenes I've seen in any show. One small thing I'd like to call out as a subtle stroke of genius is the eerie use of " shaky camera movement" when Sho opens the door. Normally, the camera is stable. Pretty much always. Here, we're in Ritsu's POV for some reason, and it just puts you all the more on edge. Instead of "hmmm, oh no, Sho is here, what does he want?" it's "OH GOD NO, RUN!". The danger is conveyed *immediately* There's plenty more red flags of course, this is just one that I always notice, but I feel is easily overlooked.

@@guesta9822 "thats not real"? I don't think that changes much. The depiction is what's dark, the context isn't *that* important. You can make a very very very dark manga and end it with "it was all a dream" after all. It's a cop-out, sure, but whether things are dark comes down to the... tone. Which doesn't depend on whether the thing really happened. It simply depends on whether it appears to be happening, and sometimes, even if the reader knows, the fact that the characters don't is enough.

not a spoiler just a theory I think mobs dad is psychic, 1 because in that opening scene the little sausage that was floating in front of dads face was redirected into his mouth like he knew it was going to go there, like it just changes it's course and goes straight into his mouth and 2 because mob and ritsu must've inherited it from 1 of the parents, if it was just mob then maybe it's a special case but the fact that both brothers got it must mean it's in their dna
