LXP sounds absolutely amazing. I am looking for just this for at large company with many members ready to consume content and interact. Which LXP can you recommend - or do you have any suggestions on how I can find out which one is the best choice?

Great to hear you're interested in LXP! I'd suggest looking into their features to see which aligns best with your company's needs. Best of luck! :)

Always appreciate your videos, but the background music (noise) on this one I found annoying, FYI going forward.

Appreciate the feedback! Will work on trimming down the intro to keep the focus on learning.

Thanks for this! So informative! I've been in the LMS business for over 13 years and have 4 quick questions: 1. Does the LXP replace or will it ultimately replace LMS altogether? 2. If integrating course content data in an LXP with your current LMS, for instance, does the learner consume it still in the LMS and gets tracked there and then the metadata is picked/integrated somehow in the LXP (how does that work exactly) since it requires data hygiene practices and accurate (not redundant) completion reports. 3. Is the reporting and/or analytics in LXP as "robust" or better then the LMS (as a standalone all-in-one) since it has personalization and social learning components? 4. Does the LXP also allow SCORM uploads and since there is a learning store component, I believe, is it xAPI compliant yet?

1. Our opinion is that anymore LMS, LXP, BMS, etc. are really only important for marketing software. Even LMSs marketed as LMs today aren’t truly LMSs. And there are plenty of supposed LXPs today that do less than LMSs. So to answer your question, we believe that LXPs by definition have already replaced LMSs, but in the end the only way to know what is what and if this even matters is to map out what benefits you are trying to get out of your software and then pick the software that fits no matter what acronym it is associated with.

2. Is a little over our head to talk through via KZbin comments, but basically it is going to depend on the LXP and the LMS and what API integrations and customizations exist between the 2

3. This is also going to depend on the LXP. Some are built to completely replace LMSs while others are built to lay on top of them. If we are projecting out to the future, yes LXPs should be collecting a lot more datapoints just because Learners can do way more with them.

4. Depends not the LXP again. We mean, it’s crazy that SCORM is even still used to be honest. The technology is so old at this point, it’s surprising xAPI isn’t the norm yet. So in order to any LMS or LXP to care about xAPI it needs to be more widely used first. We hope the industry moves there faster. SCORM is ridiculous at this point.

You guys recommended some good LMS platform in the comments - but what about LXP recommendations..... Any?

Well, as we said in the video the lines are kind of blurred these days so technically TalentCards and TalentLMS have components of an LXP. With that being said, an eLearning technology that is actually marketed as an LXP is - www.thrivelearning.com/
