Many thanks for sharing this video. Your videography is superb and I particularly enjoyed the track level shots and close-ups. Your intention was obviously to trick the eye into thinking we were watching full size locos and stock….and it worked! Well done! Incidentally, I’m very I’m impressed with the beautifully constructed locos and magnificent rolling stock…I half expected to see passengers sitting in their seats and people eating in the restaurant coaches! A wonderful hour’s worth of high quality railway pleasure…my sincere regards. Rob in Bournemouth.

Thank you so much, Rob! I'm thrilled you enjoyed the video and that the track level shots and close-ups had the desired effect. It's always rewarding to hear when the effort put into making the models appear full-sized pays off. I'm glad you appreciated the details in the locos and rolling stock as well-it’s the small touches that bring the scenes to life. Your kind words mean a lot, and I’m delighted the video provided you with an hour of railway pleasure. Warm regards from here to Bournemouth!

1007 has perfectly even valve beats, noticeably better than most all 2 cylinder locos, models or prototype. Hmm, the austerity does too. This is a wonderful event and a great video, thanks!

The noise that the WD 2 - 10 - 0 Loco makes is brilliant.

Thank you - Great footage of a great event. I wonder, how many hours in sheds does it take to make that lot????

A few different answers to this one! Fine scale model locomotives such as these can take anywhere between 1000 - 4000 man hours. An experienced builder with a lot of time might be able to churn a small model out in a matter of months. Many models often take years and there a many examples of engines that have taken upwards of 10 and 15 years to complete.

Is that a double or a triple gage track ?
@ukmodelengineering6 жыл бұрын
The main running lines are triple gauge for 3 ½”, 5” and 7 ¼”, but the two goods yards are only 5” and built for the mainline rally days.

Brilliant, but Is it optional for the drivers to smile ?

If they're anything like me when driving steam they're too busy concentrating on what they're doing to realise that there's a camera pointing at them!
@984francis5 жыл бұрын
@@LNERandBR That's true even with Gauge 1! (Radio controlled). I've no time to spare while driving.
