When I started modding my Squier Stratocaster close to 30 years ago, *EVH was exactly who I thought of and knew whatever I came up with, it was relative to how he and so many others went about it; use what you can get your hands on.* In those days, that was an unbranded high output cream and black humbucker and a 1 meg ohm ceramic volume pot. The humbucker came from a box of spare parts my sister's friend gave me, the pot came out of dad's garage! It gave me incredible EVH level voltage output from my guitar.

Bought a yellow one as a travel guit and was so impressed with it , it became the daily player and sold off everything else. The neck chunk takes a bit adjusting to if your used to a wizard type thinner neck. The compactness of it turns out to be perfectly suited for sitting at a DAW desk too.

Great video. It's a Chinese made Steinberger Spirit GT PRO Deluxe, the trem is the R-Trem. This axe is different from the old USA model, since it has a maple body, instead of a composite body, plus the USA model had the trans trem, wich allowed to transpose the key you were in. I have one this Spirit too.
