LNER A4 pacific No. 60007 'Sir Nigel Gresley' passing through Newcastle Central on 5th April 2024 with the briefest of stops. The loco was moving from The East Lancashire Railway to Heaton Depot with its support coach ready for an LSL rail tour from Newcastle to London Kings Cross the following day.

I was on a lumo train to Edinburgh that day and I was so surprised when I saw the mallard and a class 90 preparing for service just outside Newcastle
