Great video Ryan, I have all 6 mods plus some. One of my favorite mods, which is more of a maintenance mod would be charge pipe(s), stock charge pipes are trash. I ran stock cp for quite some time before blowing it off on my E47 tune. Got the zzp cp and now I have piece of mind. Thanks for making great parts and keeping the community strong.

Once you do these mods, after the tune, will it then need retuned? If so, what’s a retune cost after the first one? Only thing I’d like to see on the video as well is average gains with each step and rough gains with all 5 steps complete. Lol. I just got an hhr ss manual n getting ready to start. Thinking of starting with map sensors tune and down pipe. Got a cel for the cat already at 82000 miles.

I have a 08 Sky Redline 2.0 Turbo that I believe is a LNF engine. It does have a tune but nothing else only 51k miles. The MAF upgrade you spoke about I could do this mod but would have to redo the tune?

zzperformance why can't you make some mods for the saab 9-3 2003 and up? Motor and trans are close enough I mean the only thing would be tuning, can't use maptumes but im sure you can get a hold of aprogram.

Lol I have it all except the cold air intake im running the stock air box and still walking mustang 5.0s,Camaro's SS, and dodge's scat packs lol. On a side note I learned the hard way that the lnf is by far the pickiest spark plug engine I have ever owned. Every other car I had I threw whatever spark plug it was cheap or expensive any brand and it would run great.

Did he say that the MAP sensors need to be tuned before you put them in. I'm ordering all these mods from ZZP.COM but you're out of stock on the GM stage 1 sensors. So I ordered the Bosch MAP sensors from Amazon (I cross referenced the part number on multiple sold out sites) and i also bought the quick connect connector harnesses. I'm buying the PCM from you guys and I put on there that will also have the MAP sensors.. but do I need to tune the sensors themselves?? It doesnt sound right.

I just picked up a 2010 cobalt ss with 85k miles for 3k and I know the po and he took care of this thing like it was a gt2rs. I can’t wait to start modifying it. Already has the map sensors, tune, and down pipe. Gonna add coil-overs and intake. What else do you recommend. I don’t know anything about these cars

I honestly don’t know so I’m going to ask, I have a 07 LS, but engine swapped with a 07 SS engine and trans. Is the Gm map sensors are only for turbo/supercharged cobalts or can you put that in on a naturally aspirated 2.4 with no supercharger or turbo.

I just got a 07 Pontiac G5 2.2 VIN-F automatic! Have several issues to attend to! My stock plastic intake piece the piece that sits atop the throttle body-the plastic pcv hose NIPPLE SNAPPED OFF SO, i threaded in a fitting! Need a new one & will get one from junk yard but, There has to be something better? I do not want a cold/HOT AIR INTAKE THAT ALLOWS ENGINE BAY AIR INTO MY INTAKE!!! I have already put in some work, new control arms, new window regulator, 4 new tire's, cleaned the intake, throttle body, maf sensor! new struts & shocks this next pay! Also a 7' 4G wifi, cd/dvd player w/ reverse cam! PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT ALL UPGRADES YOU HAVE FOR MY G5 2.2 VIN-F? I know there is a supercharger set up & new injectors with the injector adaptor harnesses, & MAF sensor extesion, I NEED THAT ASAP! Where can I find all the parts needed to supercharge my 2.2 used? or how much new???

I know this comment is 5 months old, but don't. The SS motors are awesome for boost and are really neat, but the NA motors weren't designed to make power. The stock rods and crank are cast aluminum. These motors weren't built for horsepower. The best thing to do would be head work, and cams. I also hope yours is a 5 speed, and not the auto, because the auto definitely won't be able to hold the power. Youre better off getting a different platform designed to make horsepower.

Get the Cobalt SS, you get instantly more power, without having to rebuild the engine and transmission, and other additional work to the car. Cobalt SS are Supercharged. 05 to 07 Cobalt SS are Turbocharged. 08 to 10 The turbo SS makes more power and torque, but the Supercharged still makes more power than any of the n/a Cobalts, either way its an upgrade from the n/a. You can either keep the n/a Cobalt for winter or daily use, or sell it to get some cash from it.

For the n/a Cobalt, just leave it the way it is, for the most parts. You can still do other upgrades, that don't require rebuild of engine and transmission. Exterior and body upgrades : Head and Tail lights, Bumpers, Side skirts, Back Wing / Tail, Paint works, Fog lights, Grill mesh material, and so on. Interior Upgrades : WeatherTech floor mats, Seat covers, Window tints, Interior lighting, Shift knob and bag, and so on. Audio, Video and Electronics Upgrades : Speakers, Stereo Head unit, Sub woofers, Amplifiers, DVD player, Bluetooth function, and so on. Underhood Upgrades : Strut tower bar / brace, painted stock air filter box and top intake assembly, sits on top of the throttle body, and so on. Exhaust Upgrades : Aftermarket Exhaust Kits, Aftermarket muffler, Aftermarket muffler tips, and so on. Brakes Upgrade : Better or Larger Calipers, Pads, Rotors, Painted brake calipers and drums, and so on. Wheels Upgrade : Aluminum rims, Performance tires, Upgraded sized wheels, or cleanly sandblast the steel rims and re-paint them, and so on. Different trims have different wheel sizes, as stock sizes on the Cobalts. For the most parts, car parts do interchange from Cobalt, Pursuit, G5. Some parts from other GM cars such as the HHR and Ion also fits Chevy Cobalt. For Aftermarket market parts, ZZPerformance has alot of parts, accessories, and products for the Cobalt. Universal Aftermarket parts and accessories, will also fit the Cobalt, with some work needed to make it fit. Alot of aftermarket products are also direct fit. All the best with working on the Chevy Cobalt.

Do the high flow cat sound much different than the catless?

I went from the stock downpipe to the ZZP catless downpipe when my car was basically stock and I didn't notice any real difference in sound so I ended up going with a full exhaust. I've heard a lot of people claim it makes a big difference but not so much for me so I'd go with whichever you prefer depending on if where you live has emission testing, just my opinion though.

I looked on forums and people were talking about how the difference maf sensor location messed up the tune. I was wondering if this is true? My car has already been tuned by you guys but it only has a LDK create engine by you guys, 3" down pipe, upgraded intercooler pipes, and the upgraded turbo inlet tube but it still has stock airbox. And since I already have the upgraded inlet tube can I get it without it and not have to pay for that?

As long as regular maintenance is kept up there should be no issues!

They only start getting problems when your front oil pump that supplies the timing chain oil fails. The chain starts to stretch and you can hear it.

Questions for you All (ZZP guys preferred ;p) but will take any help info. I have an 09 SS. with mods listed below. I bought the car this way & from a dealership about 4 years ago, so as such never got to feel the difference in power from factory. 1. How much horsepower & torque "should" this be putting down. 2. CEL came on recently, is this just because it needs to be retuned? it doesn't feel as fast as it once was because it used to almost rip the steering wheel from my hands, but not sure if I'm just completely used to it by now. 3. It's tuned to roughly 21-22 psi, but I'm getting sustained surges to 25-26 psi recently after years of running the set boost pressure. Thoughts? MAP Sensors Tuned (I would assume by ZZP based on the other parts in the car) ZZP intake tube & K&N drop in ZZP front mount intercooler (Stock hot & cold ICP) ZZP catless down pipe & Straight pipes back. Forged BPV (Not the stock Plastic K04 bpv?? unusual to me) Clutch???? cannot be stock. has held everything thrown at it & has not slipped yet. My elevation should be about Sea Level (Chicago), & I run 93. Thanks for any help. for some reason the forums never would allow me to create an account so would REALLY appreciate your input.

There is, although it will take quite a bit of work. You'll have to go fully forged bottom end, and supporting fueling mods. A TVS1320 can get you there on E85, but a turbo would be the "easier" way.

@@itzsmendoziny3156 You're gonna have to get a turbo or supercharger kit, since the base models make less than 200. You're gonna need a lot of supporting mods to do that though, and it's not cheap.

dre D to be frank, no. I dont think they make exhaust kits for 2.2’s, and an intake wont make much of a difference on an NA low compression engine. And if you got an 05/06 you cant even tune it

@@turbo_co27 they sell some parts for non ss. They have a turbo kit for my block. They have the ECU. They have an exhaust. They have the main components, just not the less pricey parts or "accessory" type parts in looking for as well. They need to offer rods, injectors, etc. I'm grateful for zzp, but it's all upgraded bolt ons for the SS. I have the 2.4 and many of the parts can be swapped but the ones that mean the most just aren't available. I shouldn't have to do a motor and trans swap to build my car. That's all I'm saying. It's ok, I found the eagle rods and bearings needed to hold up to more than 6lbs of boost with zzp kit. Going a stage 2 after market clutch rated at about 500hp and I think somewhere around 1200 ft lbs torque. That's more than enough for these little cars. Best part is, it only tons around 200$

@@jperdue3567 It depends if the demand is there or not. Do 2.2's and 2.4's use the same rods, injectors, pistons, etc.? If not, there would have to be a demand high enough for ZZP to make them for each engine, or else they'll lose money making products people dont want. Now that Cobalts are over 10 years old and the parts are getting really cheap, I think that using 2.2's in race builds are gonna be more common, and the demand might rise enough where making parts specifically for base models will be profitable.

@@jperdue3567 It depends, for base models, its honestly cheaper just to buy an SS, but for yall with 2.4 SS/Sports, I agree that its worth building up. A lot of people go for forced induction on those, and I think the demand for forged internals is there. Also your 2008 LT has the 2.4 LE5? I didn't know they offered that engine in that trim, cool.
