This is everything starwars has been missing. The gritty real life stories of the boots on the ground. I dont wanna hear about some special chosen one who was meant to win or lose. Love the fact that your diving deeper into the people of the empire. They’re not all just bucket heads. They have beliefs too, and the rebels aren’t all good either. This was a masterpiece of work and the story behind it was great too. The only thing that was a little awkward was the mouth movement but I’m sure your work is extremely difficult and in the end it still looked great! But all in all seriousness, I would give this work a 9/10, absolutely amazing! Keep up the great work!

@@Sujad I never said the Death Star wasn’t a legitimate target. But we’re not focusing on war generals here, we’re focusing on basic soldiers who have family and friends on those stations/planets. So of course the troops who had ties to people on the Death Star ware going to be angry, and people who had ties to people on Alderan are going to be angry. It’s the regular people’s opinions and what Liam is trying to show is that both sides of the war are regular people with their own beliefs. Not generals nit picking what’s a good target or not.

@@Sujad Correct, It was technically a military target - however due to the amount of non-military personnel that was stationed there who had perished in addition to the combat personnel. Many of whom were civilian contractors. Liam would have came from somewhere that likely benefitted from or was less impacted by the Empire. Areas where the Republic had neglected or completely allowed to degrade while the war effort was focused on core systems and defending existing territory. As he mentioned as well, not every Imperial agreed with the methods of fighting the Rebellion (especially the decimation of entire planets) as it only drove more people to join the Alliance including some Imperials. But also, many Imperial joined because they wanted to avoid a repeat of the conditions that lead to the Clone Wars but also the death of so many people who they believed deserved to leave equally in peace and saw the flaws of the Grand Republic including the corruption that made it so bad and allowed the conflict to escalate and expand across the systems. Some certainly joined because they just wanted money and didn't care about the ethics of any of it- that goes for both factions. It's easier to deny the humanity of your enemy when you refuse to identify that they are human too, they are just different in ideological stand points or conditions that pushed them to join that faction - the armor makes troopers look like robots and no one sees them without helmets so it's far easier to kill them and never think twice about it.

A short, little movie that still impacted hard on fan's feelings, showing how war is never good vs bad, like the kids we were needed to understand watching the movies back then, but that everyone has a different point of view, believes, feelings and losses. Then, to coronate this little masterpiece, me and the rebel saying at the very same time, just by feeling it, "may the Force be with you". Always

The leadership and what they ultimately stand for is what matters. How what they do affects the Galaxy as a whole. Because their side is evil and the Rebellion is good.

@@alexander.tahtadjian I mean. . . The Empire is literally led by a power-hungry and objectively evil Emperor. An Emperor who murdered his own family in cold blood (in Legends) and started a bloody galactic civil war just so he could become an Emperor. He executed all of the Jedi, *including* children. The Empire is openly racist *and* 100% fascist (it was literally modeled after Nazi Germany lol). They used slave-labour, murdered billions of innocent civilians, used fear to keep their people in line. . . None of that is good. What good did they do for the galaxy? Lowered piracy? Made more jobs? That definitely justifies all of the evil shit they did, right? I mean sure, the Rebels did some bad things too. In comparison to the Empire though, the Rebellion is a shining paragon of morality. I've been saying for years there are real stories to be told with stormtroopers. How are they conscripted, what their training is like, friends and losses in battle. They looked like they were finally going to develop this with Finn and blew it. He could have created a fifth column in the Empire among troopers he knew. They could have captured and tried to recondition him and we could have seen that process. So much material for real stories. Keep up the work! As a fan at least someone seems to get it!

Imagine if we got stormtroopers like this in Star Wars Rebels, would’ve given that show more depth in regards to showing the imperial side. Only one you can truly sympathize with is Kallus, whereas the Stormtroopers themselves are treated like jokes and given no defining qualities. But ultimately the goal of Rebels was just the formation of the Rebellion, so to that degree I could understand why the imperial side wasn’t humanized. Aside from the odd mouth movements, the animation was very well done and at times felt like real people were filmed, like the stormtroopers at target practice.

Eh...I'd argue you could make a case for Thrawn too. Sure, he was a villain through and through, and was as ruthless as any other Imperial when the chips were down (albeit he was a pragmatist surrounded by sadists), but he represented THE model Imperial officer, the kind of leader that everybody in the Empire should have aspired to become. One could only imagine what the Empire would have ended up like if, somehow, Palpatine had died and he ended up in charge of it (or if Palpatine’s succesor had tasked Thrawn with developing a replacement for the Tarkin Doctrine after recognizing its flaws). Maybe the Galactic Civil War would never have happened - a rebellion of some sort would have still occurred, but it would've remained dispersed between isolated cells and never have grown into a large militarized force with a coherent, unified goal.
