Load Lifters on an ALICE pack?

The stock ALICE pack does not come with load lifters. When you decide to upgrade to the MOLLE II suspension (and ye shall), you may decide to hook up the *lifters that come with it. It's quick, easy and mostly reversible doing only minor damage to the straps. Or you could just cut off the lifters (*they are permanently attached ) and risk the ire, vexation and fury of future surplus collectors. The risk is yours, choose wisely.
If I had the correct-sized triglides, they would have worked here. I didn't, so I reused the existing buckles which are a touch easier to adjust. Side release buckles or ladder locks would be a better choice all around, neither of which I had, as well.
* There are variations, your MOLLE straps may NOT come with lifters attached.

I had once mounted a large ALICE pack on a MOLLE II frame (with MOLLE shoulder straps + hip belt). By so, you can get the advantages of both worlds.

Nice one. I used a set of triglides on one set-up and a pair of ladderlocks on another, attached to a set of straps, to secure to the ladderllocks present on the shoulder harness in order to be able to make use of the load lifters on the MOLLE ii yoke. Also, it now stays nicely in place

The triglides I have aren't wide enough so I just rerouted the strap to enable the existing buckles to work. It's not very adjustable on the move but good enough for my purposes.
