Thank you so much for this video! The Vera website doesn't show the pockets very clearly and I wanted to use this bag as a diaper bag for my 2 yo and 2 month old. I'm thinking it may work, I love how you show the depth of the bag. Thank you!

I’m traveling (finally!) next month. Have you ever flown with this bag? I’m thinking of taking it as my personal item. The dimensions are slightly larger but I’m thinking I might be able to make it work. So tempting bc I love my xl campus backpack.

I have not flown with this exact bag, but I have many times flown with this style. It’s perfect for me and has worked well. Actual fit depends on individual airline, but shouldn’t be an issue for most. Hope you have a wonderful trip!!

Is this backpack lightweight? Which is lighter? Lug’s jumper backpack or this?

Hi Ann. I do not have a Lug Jumper backpack but based on the regular PJ Backpack, I'd say that the Jumper is slightly lighter than the Vera Bradley XL Campus in Performance Twill. You can cross check that with the weights listed on the respective websites to be sure. Peformance Twill in general is a slightly heavier material than cotton and/or nylon and it is a bigger bag than the Jumper.

I have looked at several backpacks from VB. I only have a couple travel backpacks. Are grown adults 35+ using the campus backpacks as purses?

Jill I say do what works for you -that’s how I roll 😜 That being said, I haven’t heard or seen a lot if people using the Campus Backpacks as purses. I do have (and see a lot) of smaller backpacks as purses though. Hadley Backpack, Small Backpack, Mini Backpack, etc. I just moved out of my DayTripper Backpack as a purse too. I love the performance twill so, so much! 🤩 And that looks like a very nice backpack! I actually don't have any of the vera backpacks, yet, though! 😳 I ordered one of the factory style compact backpacks for my daughter during this OOS, bc she saw it and fell in love. But, the order hasn't arrived yet, and it'll actually be my first backpack purchase in all my vera tenure. 🤷‍♀️😂 Anyway, I was thinking, and when you recently asked what we would like to see next, I mentioned the turnlock tote... well, I know you don't have that particular item, yet, so I've picked something else. 😂 I've still not purchased the can can 2 bc I just don't know if it would be large enough for me, or not. And I have nowhere I can view it for myself. 😥 I don't use a lot of small bags, usually veering more toward medium/large. But, I've heard people say that the can can 2 is deceptive in what it can actually hold, so I'd love to see a 'test load' or WIMB for it. 😊 When/if you have the time, of course! 😊

Hi! I’m considering this backpack, and wanted to know if it’s machine washable! I know the Twill is water-repellent, but and having that extra feature would make a difference for me. My mom thinks it’ll get dirty really easily.

Hi Kylie. The Vera Bradley website care instructions for this item say "Spot clean with mild detergent and a soft, damp cloth, rinse thoroughly; lay flat to dry". I have heard that others have successfully machine washed their performance twill items but I have not ever tried. Thus far I simply haven't had any need to do so. I do find that they are very wipeable though and somewhat stain resistant.

Yes, VERY feminine indeed! I love that about it. Dainty looking (pattern and colors) but it's a real workhorse. So weird about the pockets. Since none of my other XL Campus BPs are like that I'm quite sure it is a defect. Unfortunate :-( Thankfully it won't affect much, just frustrating.
