I put a Wireless controller on my 14` Gooseneck trailer. works great. bought off amazon for under $24.00 with 2 remotes.. Also put a Solar panel on mine with controller.. Never have to charge in . It keeps up.

Nice video. Looks like you could use a retaining wall there on the Hill side.

What was with the pull ahead then stop ? Pull ahead then stop . Smooth and steady
@Elveshelves2 жыл бұрын
I didn’t have the bed tilted high enough / tail gait opened up to the correct amount. I could hear the rocks stop falling out… so I was giving it a bit of a jiggle to get them out. The best way would be to have the rocks fall out smooth and steady for perfect distribution… I’m still working on the “perfect” part. Cheers!

Should've open the doors before rasing, undo the cord run it through the back glass and operate the remote, later on get a wireless remote

Another thing, it's easier cleaning the rocks out of the tailgate, to button it up, while the body is still up in the air and the tailgate won't close on your fingers, crushing them. Work safe! Here's another good video to watch on the technique of smoothing out a road with a Bobcat: kzbin.info/www/bejne/sF6llHZ_f81liJo

By now, 1 year later you should have tailgate spreading with your trailer mastered. Now you know why there is a rope to be attached to the trip handle for the tailgate, run the rope all the way into the cab along with your up and down controller. After you get the trailer up as high as you dare, get moving THEN trip the tailgate. You will get a smoother spread that way. Just keep in mind that IF you should happen to go through a pothole, the trailer WILL lean and possibly roll over depending on how fast you go through the pothole AND how much gravel is still in the elevated box. Happy spreading.

I recently had some recycled concrete delivered to my place. I wanted some sort of gravel to use as ground cover to keep down the blowing dirt during wind storms. The guy at the gravel yard suggested crushed concrete. I had never seen it before, but the guy said it was just crushed concrete and that when it got wet, it would harden up. Well, it's not just "crushed concrete"! It has bits of broken tile, porcelain, plastic, and some wire. It's mostly fines and not gravel, it doesn't set up when it gets wet, and it looks ugly. I really HATE this stuff! In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if there is fly ash or other toxic things in it. AB is 100% better and it doesn't cost much more. Heck, I just got a load of 3/8" pea gravel and it is REALY nice. It's clean, easy to spread, visually appealing, and only a couple of dollars more a ton.

The place I get mine from offers a few different sizes to choose from from fines to several inches wide. Ive also found some plastic and I got one load with some metal wires in it, I think the machine was being fed faster than the magnet could grab it out. The machine had been down and the guy was trying to work a bit too fast to make up for the down time I guess. Other than that I've been pretty happy with. mine. The stuff I got packs hard and holds in place and in my area its waay less than anything else. Cheers!

You could use 1 inch gravel also I owned a sand and gravel company so I know a thing are two but just depends on what you using it for and where you putting it and always look up for wire's and over hangs on structure and tree limbs spread a lot of material with my dump trucks so just be careful and make sure ground is level
