Watching a fully experienced and smooooth operator doing his thing, it is a marvel to watch the smoothness he displays with each bucket full! Even my wife is amazed! Good work, love it!

Pretty efficient dirt moving going on there - no wasted moves. It's also kind of amazing at how large the 220 really is. When loading the haul truck it looks fairly small. But now that you are loading tandems, the size is much more apparent. That's a pretty good sized girl there...

Good job of loading the box, I came across a few guys here in DC/MD that will load you too front heavy, then when you raise to dump you're more prone to tipping if you're not level, be safe down there from Flo!!

Hope you can use the downtime as the storm passes as time to recover from that cold... I love your commentary. God bless! Stay safe!

There is something nearly hypnotic about watching that bucket cut into the earth & come up full. And then being swung over to a dump truck in the able hands of a skilled operator..

My dad always said that truck drivers ran in herds. He would load trucks and they would leave about 4 minutes apart but all 12 come back at one time.

safety in numbers?
@johnhansel49825 жыл бұрын
That's because we like a little break while we were in line maybe to eat something cuz most drivers don't gets to stop and eat l run trucks just like that Quint axles. It's go go go.
@tokke085 жыл бұрын
Same in Sweden, doesn't matter how you send them off, they come back in herds.
@grejsancoprative5 жыл бұрын
When I drove that kind of truck jobs; we always tended to end up coming and going as one left, neatly as it should and without any coordination. But then as soon 9 and 12 hit on the clock all trucks would pile up as they come back from their brakes. Glancing through this thread I am inclined to think that since most of these truckers are locals, the behaviour and trends are very local as well.
@TheSteelman664 жыл бұрын
I have to say you are one Good Operator not Dropping shit all over the truck body and leveling the load out, I miss those days here in New Jersey were the operator cared and was so smooth, I hope to get back in the Dump work when I move down to South Carolina, But for now im still running my big KW, and Dump Trailer and other work.

That's a lot of axles on those road trucks! Is that the norm over there? For similar size trucks in the UK we have 4 axles, a pair front and back. Also we don't do thumb grabs - most larger machines have "fully-auto" quick hitches for various attachments. (Semi auto quick hitches have been discouraged due to a few squashed groundworkers after the pin fell out) Loving your films, great to see how things are done over the Pond! (Stay safe with yr storms)
@joeschmoe4245 Жыл бұрын
sorry to tell you this so late lol but it is normal for most dump trucks and trucks in America to have a couple.of lift axles for extra support and to help with braking and the most axles on a truck I've seen is 7 with there being 1 steer 4 tag axles and 2 drive tires but it is normal for dump trucks to have at least one

Good operation there. My rules were, never load over the cabin, and always load the back first (in case the truck has to drop its load for some reason). But.... I would like to know the trucks are only half loaded.
Stay safe and hope Florence doesn't affect your property to badly cheers NZ.

I imagine after this hurricane is gone you'll have lots more work coming your way. You may have to get a couple more 220's or 250's.
@troyr575 жыл бұрын
Can tell you're running pretty close to empty, as you dropped a little dirt down the sides of the Dump Trucks. Also its funny sometimes they would pull to the right coming in and just back up too you, and others would pull in towards you and make a K turn too get tuned around.

Since you have had the 250 for a while now, which do you think is more productive in this truck loading application? The 250 with its smaller bucket and higher speed or the 290 with the slower speeds but larger bucket? That big one you ran up there at the test center would be nice right about now with the hurricane blowing. Stay safe and no hurricane parties!
