I feel Fetherweight doesn't get enough credit for these gorgeous intro sequences. And clearly on a short timeframe, too!

I'm not surprised that Jacob (Jordan) is having problems with Dale and the LRR playstyle, but Beej? Seeing him freak out? He should know what to expect from Dale. He's been on other of his campaigns.

Making the whole game framed around 'Shooters' as a parallel to the fact that the whole campaign is being streamed is absolutely brilliant.

I loved the running thread of Jacob avocating for Moxie, and going more and more insane at the chaotic attitudes of everyone else. The fact that he finally succeeded with Beej, the outcome of that, and his fit of giggles because of it, was just glorious.

I don't know under what circumstances Jacob first decided to work with LRR, but I don't think I could ever properly convey how grateful I am. Jacob has been and continues to be one of the greatest boons to the company as a whole.

I really love how the intro changed to reflect the difference in clones. I'm really loving this game and I can't wait to see where all these Brendas lead.
@jackielinde75685 жыл бұрын
I wanna take a stab a guess that Dale grabbed the Joke Jacob made about the Brendas in that last session and started to weave that into the story. That's something Dale does. Although, it was good to see the players get one up on Dale at least.

Jacob, best description for taking someone out for five rounds? A kick to the breadbasket. It's so evocative and anyone who has been hit in the upper groin/stomach area and had their diaphragm violently thrown up and back knows how distracting it is.

As someone who doesn't know very much about Paranoia is it normal for subsequent clones to have completely different jobs and looks or is that something that's only taking place here? Just because when I personally imagine clones I imagine an exact replica.
@jackielinde75685 жыл бұрын
Depends on the game master and the edition of Paranoia. But, in general, things don't work very well in Alpha Complex, so it's quite common that clones vary as they are reformed. Usually, it's one or two changes (like getting a new secret society or mutant power, or just a stat or two gets changed.) Sadly, there is too much teamwork with this group. Generally, the team will off at least one of each other's clones at the start. Remember, to be a member of a secret society or to have a mutation is treasonous. Everyone is a member of a secret society, everyone has a mutation, AND everyone is looking for people who are mutants and members of secret society because friend computer asked them to... And in past editions, each team member got a mission from their secret society that often contradicted the official mission and maybe required killing at least one person on the team at least once. Keep your laser handy and trust no one, Troubleshooter.
@Winterpandacookies5 жыл бұрын
One troubleshooter might be assigned to different teams and take on different roles. As for clones, I believe it is totally not because the cloning system is flawed (implying any system put in place by the Computer is flawed is treason) and might introduce mutations in the process, but some clones get lucky and have their previous physical mutation removed or unlucky and gain a physical mutation in the process.
@packered5 жыл бұрын
The reason that Beej and Jacob's characters look completely different is that their previous clones were mutants. Something had gone wrong with the cloning process, giving them an abnormal appearance/characteristics.
@Grimwear5 жыл бұрын
@@jackielinde7568 Mhmm I did notice that about the teamwork. My only previous experience with Paranoia was a single session podcast I listened to where each member was keeping a secret and trying to find ways to split off from the party in order to accomplish their task. Last session when Jacob broke character and spent two minutes to be absolutely sure that everyone was going to be fine with the action he took I couldn't help thinking that it ran counter to the spirit of the game where everyone is supposed to act secretive and self-interested but again my experience is limited.
@jackielinde75685 жыл бұрын
@@Grimwear Oh, no. The material for several of the versions (through very overt statements, innuendo, implicit statements, etc.) was very clear that no one at the table could be trusted. Yes, I was a little frustrated with Jacob trying to meta the game and that he didn't pick up on the chaos on the other side. Part of the point in Paranoia is that there is NO ONE you can trust, especially those on your team. They have a licence to shoot to kill, and it leaves a lot of room for names. The ONLY real reason that the team only kills off one or two of each other's clones is that there are bigger, badder things trying to kill them (including the people who assigned their mission). So, they're sort of stuck coming together at some point to get the job done (or as well as can be expected).

You mean Friend Computer? Access to Friend Computer's code is Ultraviolet level only. Attempting to access Friend Computer's code without Ultraviolet clearance is treason of the highest order, and grounds for immediate termination. There's also the Machine Empathy mutant power. Which Friend Computer considers so dangerous that it will have you executed on the spot if it finds out you have it. Basically, if you value your lives, don't meddle with Friend Computer.
