How do you polish this kind of shoe. Is it not a risk that when I applu shoecream and then polish that I detroy the handpainted work?

Nah, shoe cream or wax is fine. Heavy rain/water/snow can destroy the patina tho.

With over-stained toes, as usual. Loake, please stop doing this. The toe should be the same colour as the rest of the shoe. I can't wait for this fashion to pass...

Seems enough people like it since a lot of shoemakers do that :p to each his own I guess
