I love how complex and odd-sounding their heavy riffs are. It's like they take every "wrong" note and put them together to make them work. Mad respect.

I've tried to hit up Spiritbox to see if maybe Courtney would wanna collab on a song of mine and/or show them a cover I did of their song "Aphids" and I didn't hear anything. Listening to it over and over and watching videos of them playing live is so rad, but seeing visually the technicality and the way you performed these songs gives me just ANOTHER huge way to appreciate their style of writing. I'm supposed to see them next year for the first time and I cant wait for that set to change me. Amazing work,

It must be so much fun to be able to play this whole album! I’m a drummer and I fantasise about playing this fully. I have some mean chops and can learn pretty quick after 33 years of drumming experience (last 25 years only modern metal), but damn…that must be so hard to pull off. Same goes for guitar, this is top notch!!

I always hated the lazy comparisons to Deftones.. I love Deftones and the way they write songs but this cover is proof that the guitars are much more layered and complex and not so simple and rhythmic driven as Deftones, CHINO HIMSELF GAVE THEM PROPS IN PERSON! yeah.. this band is special, you killed it btw, thank you for covering one of the best albums I ever heard in my life

But once you explore the songs that don't sound like Deftones, it's clear they have many more influences etc. Is It Really You is literally the same progression as Pink Maggit by Deftones soooo yeah haha

Wow. You know. I am 26, and as an aspiring and beginning guitar player at the age of 12, I got really into covers all over youtube and have learned how to play so many songs by watching them on YT with the help of others. This is without a doubt the best cover I have seen! Amazing production on every element and love the genuine no cuts effort. I actually prefer this over the album stream sometimes haha. This is really cool to see. I have been loving this band a lot this past week since I've really gave them a good listen for the first time too. Keep it up man! I think I am about to buy some of these guitars too, really need something to play this kind of style. Where did you get a Peavey EXP with a humbucker!! Can only find single coils. Suggestions? Oh and did you have to route out the nut for the strings to fit?

Thank you dude, I really appreciate all the kind words!! As for the Peavey, I found one originally at my local Guitar Center where I fell in love with it. Then purchased one a few months later on ebay. So just keep an eye out on the used market. I would say the pickups are the main reason I bought that guitar. It's got amazing tone. It's just REALLY heavy haha

For the bass vi songs, it's just drop A for the top 5 strings, and some variations to the lowest string. Once I realized that, stuff really started to click for me.
