This song brings nearly the same feelings to everyone who heard it years ago. This song is like a time machine when you hear it, it connects this time to a particular time, feeling and place that you would love to visit with the special girl of that special time. I know, because I live it. Tears come to my eyes when I hear it, because it can never be.

"I'd Love You to Want Me" by Lobo is an emotionally resonant ballad that draws listeners back with its heartfelt lyrics and soulful delivery. The song expresses a deep yearning for love and connection, creating a sense of nostalgia and sentimentality. Lobo's vocals, filled with sincerity, convey the vulnerability of wanting to be wanted. The melody, accompanied by acoustic guitar and orchestration, adds to the timeless appeal. For those who return to hear it, the song becomes a source of positive emotions, evoking feelings of love, longing, and the universal desire for affection. It's a beautiful and enduring piece that speaks to the heart.

growing up from a child of 6, there was horrible abuse on a daily basis, as I turned 12, 13, 14 I had the most amazing music of all time, I wrote poetry, n read books like no tomorrow, these things saved my sanity n my life. I just love this song, as my childhood wasn't all bad because I was able to go to school, the buss driver n alot of teachers played songs from this era, it was that first step for me on the road to healing. thanks for saving my life, now I'm an activist against animal abuse, a survivor of child abuse member called NASSCA, and an advocate against domestic violence. I do guest speaker on talk radio. life is better n continues to be so.

Penny Miles , how much I'd like to say to you regarding what your life must have been like growing up like you did.. I know all too well what it was like.. The fear, the sadness, the loneliness, being on guard, trying to find times when we could just be that little girl or tomboy rather for me.. And how you also can find bright spots and times when it wasn't all bad.. That's the kicker right there, it wasn't all bad and like you music, writing, reading and fantasizing of far away world's were just another part of our world that help blend and mold and create who we've become as adults .. I'm so so sorry for all you went through.. It's taken so much time and effort and forgiving on my part to help heal my heart and my soul.. So much more I'd like write about regarding our unfortunate circumstances growing up.. I'm hoping you're doing well in your adult life and that you have managed to cope in healthy ways.. I'm still trying to.. Anyways. God bless you and Good God bless all the wonderful musicians and artists and teachers and bus drivers for giving us something to hold on to and for the glimmer of love and light in our hurting hearts that the music created!! My gawd ! You're a shinning penny, Penny! In this world of change we shall bring!!

It has a cool and resounding melody and excellent vocal performance by Lobo. The lyrics tell a lovely and beautiful story that brings about a feeling of fulfillment, contentment, love, and an inner peace.

I thought it was about unrequited love....a desire of two who love each other but the woman is married (not showing her feelings due to the promise she made - by the title they gave: marriage: Mrs.).

He has sung like he is deeply in love with someone at that time. Now I wonder why love was easy back then and people used to stay in relationships till eternity. Songs like this restores my faith in love!

This song brings back my high school days. I got a crush on my English teacher and once gave this song to him. When I heard this song at that time, I thought it represents my heart for him. I used to call him and he was always so kind of answering my calls. Sometimes he played old popsongs on the phone, saying he was listening to those. He was the sunshine of my highschool days. I remember once he walked me on the way home, how I was happy then. Now more than 20 years have passed and I'm married and got a son, I sometimes think about him and recall my pure highschool days. I hope to meet him again someday.
