It's nice that that they served the tray of crabs that were already cleaned, this way the seasoning gets to the meat and not just on the shell. Years ago when my husband and I went crabbing, it was my job to clean the crabs as he cleaned our crabbing boat and engine. I would clean the crabs and hose out all of the innards out of the crabs, they were as clean as can be. I made all kinds of dishes with these crabs, the sauteed crabs were especially good. My husband is gone now, and so is the good times we went crabbing in the creeks and bay.....I miss those days. :(

Went to Big Ray's last week while I was in Tampa for work. The Lobster Corn Dog is next level! The grouper sandwich was amazing. 2nd time I've had a chance to actually try something Mike has had. He doesn't miss with his recommendations!

If you come back down to Tampa, gotta try Brocato's Sandwich Shop. Another iconic spot we have. Their deviled crab is twice as big as the one you had and like 3/4's full of crab meat. Also the stuffed potato balls are like the size of a softball with piccadillo beef inside. So good.

Viet Kitchen for Vietnamese. Mangos Cafe for Soul Food. Izakaya Tori for Japanese. Mangonadas or Ranchero Tacos for tacos.

Blackened grouper burgers...yum yum, my favorite thing to eat in Florida! I had my first one at the Riverside Cafe in St. Marks and I was hooked(pun intended). Since then whenever I travel in Florida I look for restaurants that have blackened grouper. The one you're having at Big Ray's looks absolutely delicious!

The best garlic crab is in Sanford, Florida at Nina’s seafood. The seasoning is so good that’s all you need. While working in Jacksonville my friends and I drove to Sanford just to get some crabs. The owner Nina thought we were there to visit Disneyland but she was so surprised when we told her we drove 3 hrs to see her. My son is in Orlando now and I told him to stop by there on his way home to Columbus, Ga.

I might be a purist, but I believe that a Cubano should have the yellow mustard on it. It is the mix of flavors of the mustard, pickle, pork, and cheese that make it a Cubano. I dislike stone ground mustard as it is a bit bitter.

Blue crab is awesome, they're even in the canals, we used to catch them all the time when we lived down there. We were always told that the "fins" on the inside of the body was poisonous so we always worked around that part, which is probably why they removed all of it cause some people won't know that. Idk if my chain was just being yanked but we were always told that. We just folded them back and ate around it.
