pbh23 yes! Where I grew up we had lots of blackberries and chickaberries (little red berries that kind of had a minty flavor to them). Used to go clamming in Rhode Island as well. I loved doing it and miss it.

Re moth, I think it’s one of the Hawk Moths, but awaiting confirmation of which one it is. Great find! Or rather he found you! Think you need knee pads over your waders 🤣
