Steve is fed up with disrespect for one of the world's most unique game animals-the pronghorn antelope. Throughout the hunt, Steve shares antelope biology, hunting techniques, and meat care. Steve aims to make antelope lovers out of everyone and get pronghorns the respect they deserve.

It’s really not fair how Steven can make testicle meat look tasty. He’s like “I hate hearing people say how bad road kill skunk is. It gets a bad rap for being stinky when it’s really all in how you cook it” and then proceeds to make it look good.

@@bobbyboucher1936 nerves I'm from VT where second chances are pretty much non existent, you shoot the first legal buck you see because you probably aren't going to see a second. I'd already passed up on a spike mule deer on day one so I had this nagging feeling I had just blown my one opportunity so when the little pronghorn came walking by I decided that I wasn't going to pass on my second chance and shot him. going to try and go back next year if point creep doesn't get to bad this time I'll try and be a little less paranoid about going home empty handed

I had pronghorn for the first time visiting a friend's family in Wyoming. They were ranchers, and had killed the pronghorn right before we got there so we got to watch as they cleaned it and took it apart. If you've never had antelope tacos, you haven't had antelope! It was the most tender and flavorful meat I've had in a long time. I can't wait to get in there and hunt one myself one day.

Antelope is great. I’m a lifelong Montana resident and one of my favorite things each year is our antelope hunt. They’re my favorite animal to hunt by far. Another tip my friend taught me years ago, which applies to mule deer and antelope, is to skin the animal quickly, if possible. There is a theory that the hide of antelope and mule deer contains oils which can cause the animal to taste more gamey. I've done this for years, and it really, really works.

They will very much test a hunters patience and adaptability in a hunt for pronghorn. I missed a few shots on that particular hunt due to the fact I had little experience with long distance shots. Use a kapock filler to keep the powder up against the primer. The .30-'06, .308 Winchester, and the .30-30 can all be loaded to do this.

@@DStanford94 then they should be 45min with commercials. ;) Don't you feel like a lot of episodes feel like they had to cut SO much interesting stuff? With a bunch of episodes, you can almost tell that Steve does not kill and butcher/prepare an animal in the end, because the flow of the whole episode is much better and they have time to go more into detail. Sometimes trivial things, but things that make the whole show so much better. I think in at least 40% of all episodes, they had to leave out a solid 10 minutes of interesting and worthwhile footage that in no way would unnecessarily stretch out the episode.
